Just thought some of you old school guys(and "new" school guys) would like to see this. My son(8th grade) on his YZ125 with updated plastic and my "old" AXO day-glo pants on. The pic isn't the best, I took it with my phone, I just thought it was cool from the standpoint of how today's looks and the mid to late 80's looks can integrate.

AXO pants are in inbelievable shape! Good on you for putting your son a 125. The neon of the 80s and early 90s is back full force. Old school pants mesh great with everything, badass..

I had 2 pairs of the day glo Bradshaw AXO gear, loved that stuff.

P.S. get your son a chest protector please.. Unless he's wearng a hard protector under his jersey, then I appologize.

Yeah, and I have other AXO and Fox stuff from back then. I wish more day glo stuff was coming out. I was shocked that when I suggested the idea to my son, not only did he agree but he wanted to wear it! Glad you liked it.

P.S. he does have a CP, you just can't see it.

The old "Series 95" pants I think they were. Shortly followed by "Series 125" if I remember correctly. You can see a pair of them I had in my avitar picture (yellow). My dad's favorites were the gunmetal grey and navy blue ones so I had those as well. I was strictly an AXO kid growing up and landed a sponsorship. I really wish they'd bring back the old school stuff as I'm not a fan of the AXO stuff today.

Very cool pic! And on a 125 in 8th grade? He must be a tall kid?

As a matter of fact they are series 95 because we were all inspecting them closely Sunday. Not only that, but a tag on the outside even says "Made in Finland." FYI, ga-pike, I've always admired your avatar, that was right in my time too! Looks like the re-designed 1986 RM 80? The 1985 RM 85's weren't so good but those 86's were a completely different bike. I was on Yamaha 80's as the difference between the '85 and '86 was huge too. I still have the grey with fuscia set of AXO gear along with the day-glo pants in the pic!

I wouldn't say he is real tall, but he is way too big for his supermini's and fits a 125 just right! Our plan was to run superminis a year or two more but once he got on the 125 he rode his supermini once and that was the last time he wanted on it. He has been starting to talk about a 250f but I am going to hold off as long as I can. Of course, a lot of his friends have 250f's. However, the guys that had 125's that he was faster than that switched to 250f's he is still faster than on his 125. I have even toyed with the idea of getting a 250 two stroke instead of a 250f but he only weighs 112lbs and I think it would be way too much for him at this time, not to mention the maturity level.

Love how you're teaching your son MX history with the old school AXO and self-esteem by building his confidence and skill level with a 125.

Nice work dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually it's an 87 RM 80 and the picture was from the uphill double at Rocky Ridge Raceway in PA.

He should be good to go on a 125 for a little while. I jumped to a 250 way too early and now look back and wish I had stayed down.
