James stewart didn't win his first pro race.
My bad you're right. He placed 2nd First race "Supercross" But most of these riders being discussed made their pro debut at the Nationals. Stewart won His first National race and dominated the rest of the season. If you compare Rookie season though Stewarts is tough to beat.

How was Robbie Reynard's first National? Windham's 1st was nothing to shout about and Carmichael did so so.

Windham's 1st Pro race was Gainsville.

If we're talking season here it doesn't get much better than Dungey's rookie year on the 450 in 2010.

What about Mcgrath's 1st season in the 250 class 1993?

Clearly the best big time pro debut. He was 2 weeks past his 16th birthday and kinda chubby looking but man could he fly.

This is true, he literally smoked the field on his very first 250cc race. He had just won LL and would be turning pro on the 125, but was offered $5000 to come to Toronto to race the Premier class at 15 years old....
