Heard on the recent Pulpmx show... discuss!

Is this news to anyone?

FELD has a monopoly on the SX game, they have no incentive to treat the teams or riders better than they are.

Funny; there's some here on Vital that think FELD is doing just fine and how dare we suggest otherwise!
Would love to know the CEO's pay....

And there are some here that think some users are impossibly nosey, and stick them into places that they don't belong.

CEO's net worth is usually public knowledge, and not that hard to get. While I don't really know his "pay", even the most simple vitard could find this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Jeffrey_Feld

And to the OP's point.. I agree with Ping. Any sport that has the athletes pay to play is taking full advantage, IMO.

Never know which way you're going GuyB! If that's what you make of it GuyB I think you are incredibly short sighted! NOTHING but the best intentions and saying otherwise is laughable! DO THE RESEARCH and tell me I'm wrong!! REALLY, I DARE you to...

Hey switch; that link didn't work....

How is this different than what Luongo does for the GP's according to some?

Answer - Not much except the GP's have a name and face to put the blame on. This money problem is a universal thing, it's not exclusive just to Europe.

SX has a name and face to blame it on, Dave Prater, Director of supercross for Feld motor sports.
According to jt$ hes one of the good guys... however he runs the show...
The show that does not pay the talent adequately, does not give teams exposure, over emphasizes their main sponsor so much that it becomes a giant monster energy advertisement first and foremost with some racing in between.

Yeah, I saw you call out Dave the other day. Have you met Dave? Talked to him? Know what he's all about? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Supercross is not a sport. It's a Monster truck Jam/Circus on two wheels. The promoters sole concern is filling seats. That's all.

Just listened to the podcast. It sounds bad to me. 2,000,000 TV viewers for the whole SX series? I have seen Davey Coombs say that the sport is about to turn the corner. what is that? about 125,000 viewers? That isn't even close to breaking it. Sorry.

I think Feld is doing OK. But they may not have a good product. Obviously they don't have it for TV. Numbers are everything, and Feld/SX doesn't have them..

This sport is run like your local, state and federal government. It must be all smoke and mirrors. Private teams pulling out. There must be a reason, and they aren't making money............

Right. So how many bosses do you suppose he has at Feld? It's not for him alone to make any decision. Just picking out one person and screaming, "He's the guy!" is way off the mark.

Circuses don't sell tight ropes, and Supercross doesn't sell dirt bikes.

$775 million- I've always read, if you want facts to not trust Wikipedia. Is 775 his net worth?

I would prefer to know yearly compensation? Anyone?

I was not born yesterday GuyB, we all know if you have an issue with a company you go straight to the top.

The alternative is dealing with a complaints process that is nothing but bureaucracy and no results.

You see by calling Dave out DIRECTLY he feels pressure to perform. The ball is in his court. He can change things.

FELD is in SX for the $$$ only. If you think there in it for any other reason you are crazy. Sure they have people that truely love SX. If there was no $ in SX FELD would be the first to walk away.

My guess is Dave feels pressure to perform every single weekend.

Pretty sure there is more than 1 person who shares this view buddy.

He is the leader, make a handful of changes for us and we will sing his praises for eternity.
