I found this video earlier and thought it was pretty awesome. Chad gives some great insight on the fans of the sport, what they do for him, what they mean to him and how he has really grown to appreciate them. Great film/edit job Kyle.

Thanks, fellas! Happy you guys dig the edit. It's been a pleasure working with Chad, and I was stoked when I got the answers I did in regards to the fans and how he's matured and understands the importance of giving them that small half hour meet & greet.

Great video. Ive been a Reed fan when he first came to the US. I have always admired how the riders from other countries leave their home at such a young age to pursue their dreams here in the states. Good luck to CR22 for having a successful and healthy 2013.

I think the biggest difference is in his answers you can hear him taking the time to fully describe what he means.

Where he used to say, this sux, he now tells you about the things that are and aren't working for him, how he feels about all aspects etc.

This is why the fans are back on his side. He has this thing about him that isn't a job but seems as though he just loves dirtbikes and that is what connects to us weekend warriors.

I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't a true fan of his a few years back but since fatherhood he has become a different person, as all people do I guess.

Nonetheless I'm back on board. Good luck this season Chad, you have gained many fans with your nonchalant ways. Wink

What happens if you like Chad before watching the vid? Now I'm afraid to view it....

My son and I had a chance to talk with him at the Salt Lake SX a couple years back. Really friendly, open, honest guy. Always admired his personal drive. He got a lot of criticism through the years, but he hung in there, remained professional about it, and really never gave up. Here's to hoping he starts seeing the top of the podium. Anyone know if he's racing outdoors this year?

I really respect what he's done over his career but especially what he's done the last few years with starting up his own team and how he's changed personally. I'm a fan....

On another note I'm so bummed knowing that these guys won't be racing forever. Kdub retired and I'm sure Reedy and Bubbs won't be far behind him. Wish these guys could race forever....

He rode so well on the Zook, almost beat JS that year in SX, hope he turns this bike comfort around... He is good for this industry and a mature man now.

i traded buying drinks with him in Vegas one year at the Hard Rock and was amazed at how cool of a guy he was. i was a fan of his when he came to the US and i've been a huge fan ever since.

i never did get all the hate. he was kicking RC's ass week in and week out when RC was in his prime.

great video!

I will never forget meeting JS7 at glen helen in 06 for RC's last outdoor race.
We flew over from Australia for RC's last ever outdoor and obviously to check out riders like Stewart and K-dub, RV, BT etc
We lined up to see James, and he gave the fans around us no Joy just seemed arrogant.. May have been a bad day but instantly i no longer had any interest in being a fan. We Lined up to see RC and he had a good chat with us, asked us a few questions had a laugh, did photos etc and was all smiles. What a gentleman!
I think that time of there day for meet and great etc is very important. I hope James was only having a bad day.
Unfortunately Reedy had a shoulder problem and we missed him.
