Top riders with a chance at the Championship. I have to say DM is the biggest and most impressive surprise, followed by TC and JB. The remaining 4 past 450 Champions are following the new pack CR, RD, RV and last but not least JS. I hope JS can overcome an obvious injury but he may be the first to fall off the challenge. Only 2 races and all the buzz is let's blame bike setup, are you fricking kidding me. In SX when you have 2, 3 or 7 riders this close in lap rimes, the start becomes the race, sorry but that's a fact jack. It is only 2 races in, and the only 2 riders (out of the 7) to make a pass on the other top 7 are RV and RD. What does this say? You better get a good start, and most importantly, it is just the beginning.

I wouldn't consider Canard or Barcia surprises. Canard has proven that he is a top contender over the 3 previous seasons. Remember, he finished 14th in points in 2010 despite only starting 6 races. Barcia also has already proven he can win against the 450 guys at Southwick in 2011 and at the Monster Energy Cup last year

well said....and very true! I still give Poto the edge simply because hes doing the most passing. Im very suprised at his need to have to do so. Usually hes been a little better at the start. And I also think that his urgency to get to the front has caused his tipovers.

I agree not a surprise as much as Davi, very impressive to say the least. I only mentioned TC because of his amazing comeback, and JB as a rookie, amazing start, the guy is the real deal. I will admit now, I may have under estimated TC and JB.

Not trying to come across that way. You said that only RV and RD have made passes on the others. Trey has too this season. Not sure about the others. I only tend to watch one racer ;-).

I predict Trey Canard will leave A2 with the red plates....and if it wasn't for that last lap mistake at Phoenix
