Chad new Shift stuff is mind blowing, seen Simons pics?

I know we're all excited for A1 and all, but all this gushing about his new gear makes me ill. Big deal. New colorways. So what.

And his rambling on and on about mostly nothing was boring. Cool to watchh him ride as always- seems to have changed his style just a bit on the Suzuki versus the Kawis and Yamahas. Alot more weight over the back of the bike, no?

What I really wanted to see was more of a real intro video- showing what's new and different about his gear than anybody elses, other than the way they lay down the blobs of color. So he thinks THIS is the peice of the puzzle that will make the difference for him? Well, we all know that at that level, sometimes the weirdest little thing can give a rider that extra bit of confidence, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

Anybody think it contains some new anti-magnetic technology that picks up the trace iron in the dirt and actually causes a repelling force to help him stay off the deck? Now THAT would be cool. Maybe some of those little air-stream horns like they make for the bumper of your car to scare the deer and racoons away as you approach, only these are for photographers that like to cross the track.

Seriously- the one tidbit I picked up on was him breifly mentioning "athletic gear", which I take to mean he plans to branch out into other lines. That could be cool.

Good luck JS7, I hope you stay healthy all season long and help make the racing interesting for us ticket buyers.

I think James is in a good spot and we are in for an awesome season, read this on TWMX report about his bike:

Stewart reports that this is the most comfortable he's been entering a new SX season in years.

Fan of his or not, you have to relish in the thought of an all out battle this season w/ so many riders lining the 450 gate healthy.

With that, im am out for the night, im sure it wont be long before this turns into the usual stuff that goes on around here. have a good night dudes, and go read TerryK's thread about losing a good one.

Looks great, any idea if this will be like the Alias line and won't be available for a while or are we talking this season?

I can see that.

But James has a different lane I believe. Especially having Troy Lee doing the designing and I am curious to hear about the compression stuff he is working on. Heard it will be similar to the Virus and Nike stuff as far as under the gear performance.

Def James made a good choice going with a solid company and a smart design guy like Troy. Cant wait to see the gear first hand.

I think he's been waiting for all these guys to bump up to the big class and be healthy. Think about it... Less pressure on him with so many dudes wringing it out at his level.

Awesome looking gear. But the gloves are a little too minimalist. Would like to see something more robust.

I guess we are just left to assume that comfort and protection technology is built in? great, you attached a "brand" to some fabric.. thats all i heard in that vid, bold, clean.. bla bla bla.

Would have been nice to see some features along with the design hype, like, check how roomy this shit slides over the knee braces, or whatever the hell. triple stitched kevlar roost fighting radness on the tricept area or some shit.

just interesting to me all this talk about a brand... na na na, you created a product. your consumers will decide your brand.
