Alright, I didn't wanna post twice so I threw a couple things together. First, my names Ray, I'm 15 from Ohio, and race schoolboy and 250B. I signed up awhile back and decided I wanted to get comfy around here to meet some new people. I race a 09 YZ250F, attached are a couple pics and I'll throw my results up for the hell of it too.

Alright, here comes the real question. I am buying my new gear for next year (out of my oh so shallow pockets). I'm picking up some Fox 360 stuff from last year and a V3 helmet it looks like. I want to run a shock doctor eject system in it, but I wanted some advice first to hear what some other guys have to say. It's 60$, I guess its one of those things you probably won't ever use, but if you ever do you'll be pretty damn grateful. Advice, opinions, whats up?

I dont know much but I think its only for pro races.

Cause at the local level the people helping you when u crash won't see it, know what it is, or have the pump to even use it.
They will either take off your helmet the normal way or wait for EMT's which don't know what it is either....

Most EMT's are idiots (I can say that because I am one). They're not going to know what to do with it but they will find a way to stabilize your spine before they try to move you. The two things I learned in EMT school: 1. Don't ever move someone's neck if their is a possibility of a fracture. 2. If you don't feel a pulse start CPR.

Sweet, thanks guys. Yeah I noticed EMTs can be dumb, ours have a tenancy to just rip our helmets clean off and not ask questions

Yea it's pretty amazing to see the gray area that people use in the medical field when we are all in the business of saving lives!

Wait, you mean there's a kid racing 250B with only one bike, with a stock exhaust and no graphics or power-adding graphics? AND the bike is a 2009? OMG.

But seriously, kudos. Ride that thing til the bike is your limiting factor, then get exhaust.

It's all in the rider, one bike, set up suspension, mostly stock, and the beauty of clean numbers. I wake up at 4:30 AM to go do my training before school everyday, and saturdays. Maybe in a couple years I'll drop the money on a new bike and have a practice bike to haha

I think I'd tend to agree with that. Not that I think it's a bad idea, but you'd need some pretty moto-savvy EMTs to run an Eject at the local level.

If you're wanting an easy removal system, I'd look at something like Bell, Shoei, Troy Lee Designs 6D, etc., that use easily removable cheek pads to make emergency helmet removal easier.

If you really want to get one you could always go to your local EMT service and show them the product. I took an issue of Dirt Rider in that had a product review of the Eject System and they decided to purchase a couple units. They had all the proper training and know to look for the device on a rider before using theirs. Just a thought!
