It's 2012 and MX Unleashed is still the best?

I have had a PS3 for years and there still is not a game that comes close to MX Unleashed...what is going on in the MX gaming world?

I got sick and tired of waiting for a game to come along so I just throw down $52 for a used XBOX so I can play MX Unleashed again.

Reflex is hands down the best mx game ever made with mx vs. atv unleashed a very close second. Every one bags on the game but it is so much fun wants you actually get good at the game.

I adored the physics in Reflex, definitely my favourite MX game overall despite its flaws. Didn't really care for Unleashed - no sense of speed and far too floaty for me.

MX Simulator is just too inaccessible for many people including myself and has no decent single player to speak off. Not even its own AI knows how to play that game. If you're willing to invest the time in getting better and (other than spinning laps solo for training purposes) are content with just a multiplayer experience, then that's a bit different. Can't deny the game definitely has a fan base.

I played reflex online and i switched to alive , only because its the same shit heads smashing into you all the time and alive is more forgiving to getting smashed into.

I guess to each their own but I will add that in most all official reviews MX Unleashed gets a better score then Reflex?

But to the question why in 2012 is the best new game MUD which sucks?

Here is a tip to avoid the goons crashing into you. When you play online, the gate always drops at the same exact time as long as the game is not lagging. As soon as it shows you at the gate first back up, then rev the bike 7 times every 3/4s of a second and then after the 7th rev then you rev the bike again and then let go of the clutch. It takes some practice but if you can master this you will get the holeshot 9 times out of 10. Now if you dont get the holeshot good luck trying to pass the out of control goons on the game. Sorry if my explanation sucks but i tried my best.

The reason I love MX Unleashed is for the graphics, control, the full on Super-cross season challenge, the music.

All other games try and make everything look too real and end up making it look unreal rather then making it look good, if that makes sense?

My used XBOX should be here next week and then the season starts! Kinda crazy when I have a PS3 and not a good super cross game to use on it!

I feel like reflex did a pretty good job of making it look real without the rider looking like a squid. The whips look awesome, scrubbing is sweet, tracks are pretty realistic. Yea the game has some flaws but I have been playing the game for 2 years and I still love it.

After 2 years of playing any game most likely one would like it and in the end thats all that counts. I just picked up MX Unleashed for $5.61 off of eBay with free shipping.....nice!

But back to the reason for my post.... Why in 2012 is there not a great Supercross game for xbox,ps3,wii? It's crazy!

Have you ever played mx vs. atv unleashed? If not you should also give that game a try. That game in my opinion has the best supercross tracks ever on a mx game. Whenever I get tired of relfex I always bust out the ps2 and play a little bit of unleashed. I could play ghost play against myself for hours on that game as I try to beat my fast lap times. I really wish reflex had ghost racing on it.

The music was awesome on unleashed. I hear some of those songs now and in my head am playing that game.

Well I figured out that my PS3 is one of the earlier ones that will play all PS2 and PS3 games....Cool! I'll let you know!

You are right.

I played unleashed last night and was rusty and way off the pace. Forgot how to seat bounce or even stay on the track. Good game, gonna come back up through the ranks

It usually takes me 2 or 3 races to get back into the swing of things on unleashed when I play it. I feel as though I am realy fast on that game once I get in my groove.
