Quick question, I want to sell my 2010 honda 250f and get a 2011-2012 honda 450f, but I want to keep my black excels and powder coated hubs. Will my 250f wheels and hubs swap out to fit on a 450f that I want to get?

I think the 450 may have a wider rear rim, don't quote me on that though. The front should fit though

^he's right. front will work no problem, but the rear is wider. You'd have a hell of a time riding a 450 with a 100/90/19

You can run a 450 tire on a 250 rim for certain reasons. But not vise versa. The wheel would be too skinny and tall. Think no traction at all!

Hmm... I'm actually thinking the wheels will work. Yes, you'd want a new rear tire but I believe the wheels and hubs are the same. Go to bto sports . com and look at all the after market wheels. They're the same part number for CRF250/450

They will work, but the rim for a 250 is not as wide as a 450. I have been running cr250 wheels on my Honda 450's and 250F's for like 5 years. The big rear is a little wide for the 250, but ok to practice on. You're going to be on the other side of the coin. I'd just run a 250F tire on the 250F wheel and practice on it as a way to not wear out your new tires when you practice and race on the 450 wheel.

2013 crf450's take a different rear wheel and you may have known that.

450's come with a 2.15" rear rim and the 250 comes with a 1.85" rear rim. The 2.15" rim accepts the wider tires run on the 450. Check the rear excel rim you have, it may be a 2.15. Most people go with the 2.15 rim on the 250f when upgrading rims and/or wheels. You can run 110/80 or 110/90 on the 1.85" and the 2.15" rims. Never tried putting a 120 on a 1.85" rim.

Will a crf250 front and back wheel fit on a crf450

02-12 cr and crf wheels are interchangeable, they will also fit earlier cr's with a rear bearing and spacer change.

Cr125 & crf250 use a 1.85 rear, and cr250 & crf450 use a 2.15 rear, fronts are the same.

I Wouldn't want to run the thinner rim on the bigger bike, i'd happily use the wider rim on the smaller bike but only with the correct tyre for the bike, as the extra traction will put more wear on the little 125 motor.
