For anyone who hasn't seen the video, it is graphic. I sure hope he makes a full recovery and comes back next year stronger than ever. I just hate to see this happen to anyone, especially someone who just came back from a knee injury (torn ACL last year). For you non college football fans, he is the top running back in the nation and was projected to be the top running back taken in the upcoming NFL Draft.

From what I heard he tore everything and broke his femur to boot. I have a feeling his playing days are over.

That was sad indeed. As an LSU fan, I love to see all SEC guys do well when they make the move to the NFL. I heard about it last night and caught it on ESPN this morning, and it just sucks to see a talented guy like that lose his future that suddenly.

Not a cock fan. Hope he makes a sound come back.
I was about to post that! Sounds much better than the earlier prognoses!

My mom's horse fell on her knee the day after her 50th birthday (February 26th 2011). She tore her ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, and Both Menisci. She broke her pelvis, tib/fib, and her medial Condyle (bone on the end of the femur that sits on the knee joint).
She had one surgery after the swelling went down. They added a bunch of hardware including a plate to hold her femur together.

Last weekend she almost won a world championship in cowboy mounted shooting. It's just crazy what can be done now. Her surgeon told her ten years ago they might have had to amputate her lower leg.

Praying for a good recovery!

Saw this on Facebook posted by a guy named Marcus Mitchum... Seems like a great kid. Today is Mr. Lattimore's 21st Birthday to boot.

My final thoughts on Marcus Lattimore, and I will be silent. I have been driving the football team for almost a decade, and have to say Marcus is not only the most talented player I have ever seen, but he is also the most quiet, humble and respectful player I have EVER been around. As fans, we pull for the player and the uniform which he wears, and we forget there is a human being underneath all of those pads. What is so sad, is that both plays in which he got hurt were the most fluke plays that you will ever see. Though the rumors coming out about his injury are very grim about his future in football, this young man has has earned my respect in less than three years at South Carolina. We all grow old.....and our body begins to break down in many ways, but a mans character is what seperates him from other human beings. Marcus is definitely in a class of his own.....though he is too humble to ever admit it! If anyone can come back from this, this young man can, but let NO ONE ever question his character and integrity. He will be great in whatever he chooses to do with his life! I pray that I see him step on my bus again next year!

I'm not sure but I think a dislocated knee (not kneecap) is much worse than it sounds. From what I understand, he tore multiple ligaments.
