They are a couple of brothers that own casino's in Reno. They used to own the Sacramento Kings basketball team. They are loaded. Maybe casino's in Vegas also.

Ya. They are cool dudes. We actually had a booth out at that event promoting the FMX version of the game and the upcoming Sk8 version.

The event looked to be a success. The stands were filled. The feedback from the pro's was positive. Almost everyone who showed up got paid. Even down to 20th. Top prize was $100k for Street, which is huge. $75k for Vert. The course hey put together was top notch. They treated the athletes like VIP's everywhere. They definitely did it right. Just remains to be seen if they will continue with their skateboarding Venture or not. If so, I have heard some talk of expanding to other disciplines.

It was on CBS this past Sunday. It was a really good show. The Maloofs took the advice of the skateboarders on course design and then implemented it.

I was talking to a friend about this a while back, someone with large amounts of cash could take over MX/SX without buying it, Provide the big purse all the way down to the last guy to qualify for the show , they will come and hang it out. Incentive goes a long way.

G Maloof (graduate of UNLV) owned the Fiesta Casino Hotel prior to the Palms Hotel. George is good people... good to his employees and people in general. Marketing guru... used the "Real World" to push his brand to the masses.

Would love to Maloof get involved with MX... it would be a nice marriage.

The owners of Terrible Hotel and Barbery Coast are involved with off road racing.
