Classic Israeli / US hedgemony right there that is the driving force behind the fanaticism on the Muslim side. The sooner we - as Ron Paul would have done or claimed to want to do, distance are self from Israel the better. In 1976, shortly after we went in there, they were producing oil that ranked them much higher per day than they are now in relation to the rest of the world. Indonesia's Oil production today is half of what it was in 1976 when it peaked.

They are also a world leader in coal and natural gas exports.

Hell, Iran only does 3 milion per day currently (5% of world production), and what, you think were really going to invade them because they set up a nuclear reactor? We're just mad because were not the ones who got to build and maintain it. But have no fear, we'll blow the snot out of that thing and their entire infrastructure just so we can go in there and rebuild it.

Indonesia's oil industry is one of the oldest in the world. You think we really were protecting them from communism? Or we were protecting our rights to their oil contracts. You might think that their production isnt worth much, but their untapped reserves were at the time, and still are.
