Doug Henry won his title in 1998, announced his retirement, raced only the 1999 National season. Another MX-only contract.

1999 Henry announced his official retirement after racing a limited 1999 season during his "Farewell Tour" with the factory Yamaha team. He took 10th-place at the Supercross season finale at Las Vegas, and won the Troy, Ohio round of the AMA 250cc National Motocross Series.
