What is this?

I have three correct Mugen replica silencers that I never was able to get the pipes for. Would gladly sell one if you wanted to mod that pipe to accept it.

1) They just start to look goofy.
2) They are too tall.
The tall seat on the 76 model has to be addressed when you start increasing the travel on them. Get up to the 9-10 inch travel area and you can't straddle the bike. Look at putting a 74-75 seat on it at that point. This thing is proving to be a challenge to get 9 inches out of and not have it look stupid or having to butcher up a $2500.00 chromoly frame any more than I've already had to.

I would put the tank, wheels and seat on with that swing arm along with the bars. I used ATV bars on mine which were a little talller. Looking at the pics of my bike and your set up. They look very close, the shock bottoms are right at the foot peg height. Those shocks worked great with the stock swing arm. I really didnt notice any flex in the swing arm which some claimed back in the day. Here is the stock bike with stock shocks and swing arm.
