You should be able to take white plastic and dye it. Rit dye is a combination of dyes for natural and synthetic fibers. It doesn't work for shit on cotton but works great on polyester. Polyester is a plastic. I used to dye sample fabrics for my snowboard clothing company every year. I had a big pot, like 20 or 30 gallons and a burner that ran off a propane tank. You would be surprised the colors you can make with simple rit dye. I'm not sure if there is any industrial dye available in the US but if you can't get that to work they used to formulate custom colors, if there are any around. If anyone doesn't believe me take an old white piece of plastic. A $2 pack of black Rit Dye and a pot of boiling water. I had a black Yamaha in the early 90s, long before black was available. I'm positive it could be done, I don't have the big pot anymore but I'd be glad to mess around and figure out the color if someone wants to give me a Pantone #. PM me though, sometimes I go months without looking in here. I'm only watching today because I made a post.
Hey RandyS, it sounds good! I found at youtube a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOy7JbIKEkg looks interesting. Thanks for your post, ill will give a try :)

I didn't realize you weren't in the US. Use the liquid dye if you can find it, not the powdered like they show. It's much easier to create the color by mixing in a measuring cup. If you can only find powdered mix it with a few ounced of water to make a liquid. If you get Rit brand they have 2 different blues, the more you put in the darker your color will be. You might get lucky and be able to make what you need with one color or you may have to create a color with one of the blues and other colors. Yellow, red, and black can all be used to add to blue to get the shade you need. I don't see any reason you couldn't get the correct color. I used to figure out my color with a small pan on the stove. Measure the water and the amount of dye you start with. Use one of the blues and a small piece of plastic. Simmer it for 10 or 15 minutes, the longer you go the deeper the color will go into the plastic. Once you get close to the blue you need you can add some of the other colors to change the hue of the blue. There is no reason you shouldn't be able to make it work. Once you get your formula just do it on a larger scale. Try to do the pieces as a complete set if possible because it's pretty hard to get exact matches if they are done differently. It's possible but harder. If you could heat the water in a garbage can you could even do the tank, it would probably have to be new. I'm not sure a used tank would dye very well. Good Luck.

Its at my Office /Shipping department of my company.

My Garage is more like a Junkyard Wink there are some more Project-bikes for the Future.

Hi #76

sorry, i haven´t any 91 stuff ... the black rearfender decals was 100% the same from 91 to 92.

...Only one Original 91 Rearfinder but i will not sell.

A lot People ask me about the "Blue Plastics Ufo-order" i haven´t order the Plastics because i realized the UFO style/shape is so much different moulded to the Acerbis and Oem. Im glad i haven´t order that stuff.
take a look at the pics
upper is my ACERBIS 91 Peak Fender
lower is my painted UFO
You can see the different mould at the seat area. If you use a ufo fender, you will have a cap near 1 1/2 inch between seat and fender...looks crap imo

My Bike today.... not finished yet but almost

So Guys, the hunt for Blue Plastics has an end. I got a Blue Acerbis Rear Fender from a friendly Dutchman who was so nice to sell me the Fender. Thanks a lot ! Just 5 Days later, i found blue sidepanels at ebay.com ... but the seller won´t ship intl. So my friend AJ Catanzaro´s Dad was so nice to make it happen and over taken the shipping and handling for me . Can´t thank you enough Tony !

I bought a used CR250 92 PC Works Pipe, removed the Badge from the pipe and welded on my 125 92 Works Pipe

This Picture is still with the painted Ufo Plastics
