I've noticed today that all 3 of the merge racing riders I know of regal smith and freeburg all dnf the first Motos today at Southwick. I beleive smith and freeburg have had numerous dnf all season long. Jim Lewis is a pretty smart guy, you think it's just the ktms?
As for The Langston team, Merge does the suspension after Ohlins pulled out but do they have anything to do with the motors?
From all the talk the main issues with Les Smith is the new clutch on the 450. It does not use coils springs but a big cupped washer type spring. KTM does not have enough of the stronger springs yet that can hold up to the abuse the pros can dish out. They reportedly only have a few of them for Dungey's bikes and the privateers have to make do with stock parts.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
My guess. This guy hates Merge for whatever reason and saw an opportunity.
Pit Row
Regal get serious also---
My respects for Merge...damn good company....
Any comments on Regal busting all the factory guys in 2010 (Honda) with Merge????
I was not at the event this weekend, but it looked like (online) the 404 was having a solid ride until the problem. My guess is they are just working out the bugs like any other first year team.
