Has anyone at Vital heard of this new Motocross game? Toyota Motocross 2013?

8/1/2012 4:44pm Edited Date/Time 8/1/2012 4:44pm
I had never logged on to supercross.com till hearing about the game. I think my username was flatout111. So no former log in.

The company belongs to me and 2 other people we started it in 2011 and this is the first game we are releasing. The reason much isn't being said till ow is because we did ot have a 100% final deal on a name till 2 weeks ago which is also why Toyota hasn't released anything yet either. I have a press release for the everything coming next Tuesday if that helps.

Just Spit On It Games is our developer company by the way
Any info on this "developer company"?

What is the url for the website?

Like another said, the skepticism comes from you saying that Toyota is backing this three man game studio for their first ever release of a game no one has heard a peep about from anybody. If it is true, then fantastic, but I will believe it when I see it.

And starchildeyes, either you were another poster in a previous form on that site and are IP blocked or you are doing it wrong. What was your former username?
Not a peep there's been 10 threads on sx.com about it over the last year. Like I said Toyota just came on 2 weeks ago and they are backing us because off my brother being on hell of a salesman. Now that things have finally been finalized we are rolling things out until we had that done we were gonna keep it close to the chest.

The devlopment company was started by a couple of old coworkers and myself. We now have 23 people working for us and are talking about branching off and doing some other games soon. We wanted to do this game first because all of us love MX and wanted to see a real MX game so that's what we did. Me personally I'm also doing a comic for DC to help the victims of the theater shooting so I'm not going to be as involved for the next 2 months. I will try to put aside my issues with vital and post info here as well as at sx.com.

That's fine but talk crap about someone just because they don't know about it is wrong. If they want someone to talk to them about it maybe they should show some respect. That is the only reason I had never come here to talk about the game the people here can get really harsh for no reason. I stay over on sx for the simple reason that people are actually respectful.

Please tell me John van de Lest is one of your 23 workers..he is too good not to be. I recommended him to you back about a year ago this time, not sure if he ever tried to get ahold of you or not.

Welcome to Vital, Jeremy! This is a good place to push the game so for that reason I am really glad you are here. Plus the fact I can't get logged in on sx too. LOL.

I'm excited and really hopeful. Can't wait for the website. And just ask any of the Vital guys who have seen my posts. I am a MX video game nut and I will do ALL I can to help promote/push/sell your game!

I appreciate all your effort and can't wait!

Btw, what is the engine like? Reflex? MXS? Something fresh? I actually like Reflex's dual stick control and liked that Alive's bikes actually had weight to them (which Reflex's did not). If you took those game's engine but made the scale more accurate (ala Alive) and added a real points series, real tracks, real riders (who actually were rating based such as the Madden/NHL12 games so that the results weren't random which in turn would make a realistic points standings) then you would have a winner. and yeah, I would love a Speed type presentation with commentary like Supercross 2000 but hey, I'm dreaming now I know! =)

Can't wait for further info, man!

And Jeremy, I too would love if you could PM me your email to correspond a bit. I'm all about contributing ideas (I corresponded heavily with producer Chris Busse at Treyarch when they made NHL2k3 back in the day and was listed in credits) and would love to help in any way I can.

How about that P2sta guy (don't know his real name lol)? Amazing modeler. Although I think that atleast Chris and P2sta have stable jobs on other fields of work.(Dunno about JvdL)

Anyways about the game; I really hope you keep the game highly and easily moddable. Like ability to make/customize skins, tracks atleast, maybe models too etc. (on PC, don't think it would be possible for consoles). It really lengthens the lifetime of the game.

Also I'd like to ask which is your main platform(xbox360, ps3 or PC) you're developing the game on?

Well I tried...we didnt talk much after I decided not to pursue the idea of making a game. I couldnt justify the risk without any big connections in the game industry, I also wanted a big time publisher and I heard horror stories of working with them.

Jeremy, I contacted you on supercross.com before, not sure of my name over there, might be the same. I am interested in testing for you. I consider myself very good at motocross games when I put in the time and I would be willing to put in several hours a week to test for you.

Let me know if you are interested, I have been itching for a good mx game for consoles.

Any screen shots?

If it's better than Mud(didn't buy) and Alive(raced around in circles for a few hours to level up) I'll be buying it.

Yeah, that is true.A lot of people didn't believe it was even real and now a lot of people seem to be changing their mind. But hey that is a good thing. Our sport needs this game! I have faith in Jeremy's vision. I've followed his posts on this game for the past year and I think his vision is spot on. Sure, I am eager to assist Jeremy if needed and will be glad to help him in any way but I also think his direction is where it should be. Smile And for that I am thankful!!
