Hate to hear that, hope for a speedy recovery!

I really hope Metty is ok.. The one more anything never works out.. I was once at a poker table where I ran $400 up to 4k. Said one more hand. Ended up borrowing cab money home.

Do you guys really believe in the "one last ____" superstition?

I don't think there's anything mystical about it just an example of selective observation.

How many times can you recall thinking you will do one more lap and you made it home safe?

I've broken my tib/fib and wrist in a single crash myself. The next couple of weeks, trying to get around, are going to be TOUGH!!! (picture trying to use crutches with a freshly broken wrist in plaster...not as easy as it sounds)

I had to use a contraption similar to this....except mine was the speedway version without brakes

And with Sheena ready to drop a bub things certainly aren't going to be easy. Best of luck Metty's and hang in there. Bones heal and things will be better soon.

G.W.S Brett!! What a bummer...

I too have been bitten by the "one more lap" bug...at 4th gear over a big jump, chopped the throttle on the face and when I went to give it that last "blip at the lip"...out of gas. I remember how quiet things got and I woke up about 6 minutes later, bleeding from many places but nothing broken. Grade 3 concussion though.

Bummer Brett! He's always so much stronger in the second half of the outdoor season... crud!

Yes, "one more lap" earned me a ruptured ACL...

Heal up Metty. Was looking forward to some good motos during the second half.

So, does this let Goose off the hook for Dungey's empty tank at Freestone last year?

"One more time" is only bad because it's the last decision you made before you ended up seeing stars and picking stones out of your a$$ crack. You always have plenty of time to tell yourself, "If only would have not taken that one last lap."

"One more lap" is just as bad as someone dragging out a camera. Well at least for me anyway.

Metty wasn't using the larger tank. From what I understand, he was also by himself, with no Suzuki mechanics/staff there.

I broke my Tib Fib at Blue Rock, luckily i escaped any other injuries.
Yes it was one more lap!

How does this contraption wipe your ass with a broken wrist?

This is the "break" he needed, maybe he can use this to reignite his sliding career.

Best wishes.

Sliding career? He was having an off year. I would consider a sliding career gradual drop in results over a couple of years.

Your back-handed "best wishes" cloaked in the "sliding career" kick to a guy who's already down is weak. Stay classy Julie. Can I call you by your first name?
