Motor Noise

Hey I have a 2006 CRF250 thats making some major motor noise. The whole motor only has 35 hours on it. It doesn't sound like value noise. also its idling inconsistently. What do you guys think it is?

Muffler bearings. definitely muffler bearings.

Motor noise ?Maybe the brushes are sticking or a winding is loose.

im with mr. x on this one, unless its a brushless motor. make sure there isnt any metallic debris magnetically stuck to the housing.

A lot of comedians on this site this morning. Could be a number of things...might as well check your valve clearances, as that is what it sounds like. I do not know what is contained in Honda's Unicam setup but could it be your cam bearings? Possibly your crank bearings on their last leg?

I had some ticking in my 08 450.. Turns out it was a exhaust rocker arm bearing was seized and makeing all kinds of racket..

Could be the fetzer valve. You're going to need some 3 in 1 oil, gauze pads and 10 quarts of antifreeze.

dont fix it, roll in corner of garage, purchase used 2 stroke spend the extra it would have cost to fix that bike on beer,,,,,,,,,,,live happily ever after
