I am going to suggest the Z-Start Pro model as it works as more of an auto-clutch. The EXP is more of an anti-stall device. The Z-Start will allow full use of clutch above idle as long as it is centrifugally engaged.

Hey guys just a heads up...

If you send money send it as a gift, dont send it for services, etc. then he will receive the whole amount. Thats what I did with the $30 I sent friday or saturday.

** Note: only do this when you trust the person, dont do this when you buy something from someone or they can screw ya.

I ride with the Z-start Pro and it is an auto clutch at idle. When you accelerate above idle, or slightly higher(depending on spring choice) it operates just like normal. There is no clutch pull (not necessary) until you accelerate. It then operates like a regular clutch until the rpm"s drop back to idle range. I believe the EXP has full clutch tension, which requires clutch actuation, all the time. It was designed more for the mx'r whose primary concern was not stalling. I believe the Z-Start pro would be the most beneficial choice for him.

I have the z-start pro in my 09 YZ450F and I'd have to agree that it would be a better choice most likely. I use my bike for 97% MX and 3% XC riding. It's one of the best mods I've ever done to the bike.

Hey Craig.
I'm not sure of your mechanical abilities and also not sure what type of riding you do (MX, trail etc..) and the bike you ride.
One clutch is an easy OEM mod and the other is a swap out.
Also some are better than others for MX, trail etc.

Can you contact Rekluse (e-mail or phone) and tell them all of your specifics so we can determine the most appropriate clutch?

They know about you as I have talked to them.

I hope he got the Rekluse Z-Start Pro Automatic Clutch I have that and think that would be the best for someone that does motocross and wants to use the clutch at the starting gate.

Are the bikes different in the UK?

I think it would be better to buy it here and ship it there based on the exchange rate.

I ship packages everyday all around the world......it isn't that difficult to do. Just mark "GIFT" on the Customs form and Craig would be (or should be) duty free.

Funny you say that because after a buncha BS with exchange rates and what-not, Rekluse and I decided to send it to me and then I ship it to him
The clutch is back ordered 2 weeks and then they ship it to me.
The cost to me inc shipping is $448.30 and then I have to ship to him. I dont know how much that will be.
I just left Jeff a message asking what out tally is. He will call soon and I will update

Four pounds is about $30.00 and can be sent via USPS First Class International

Anything over 4 pounds has to go via Priority International. 5 pounds via PI is a tick over $50.00

I have no idea how much a Rekluse weighs.

it must be in the mail , some where over the pond,,,

Ill let all know as soon as i get it fitted.
