I have been wanting to figure this out for awhile and finally I spent a night and got all the stats on all time wins list, as of 2012 MX season. I did not include the Trans-AMA races or Lites SX.

....Rider.......................Races.............Wins...........Podiums............Top 5............Top 10.............Titles.... Win Span
Ricky Carmichael.....242.................150...............203....................220.................229....................15........97-07
Jeremy McGrath.......270...................89................154....................195.................???.....................8.........93-01
James Stewart.........155...................88................121....................130.................140.....................5.........02-12
Bob Hannah.............188...................64..................95....................123..................171.....................6.........76-85
Ricky Johnson.........194...................61.................117....................148.................171.....................7.........82-90
Jeff Ward...................311...................56.................157....................210.................261.....................7.........82-92
Chad Reed...............230...................51.................169...................193..................222.....................3.........02-12

Broc Glover...............194...................44................103....................127...................171....................6..........77-88
Mark Barnett.............168...................42.................74.....................100...................132.....................4.........79-85?
Jeff Stanton..............195...................37.................114...................156....................178....................6..........89-93
Jeff Emig...................241..................36.................100....................126...................179....................4..........92-98
Kevin Windham.................................35.................................................................................................0.........96-10
Ryan Dungey...........108...................32..................77.......................94...................101....................3..........08-12
David Bailey.............131...................30..................64.......................84...................109.....................4.........83-86
Mike Kiedrowski......196..................30..................86.....................130...................184.....................4..........89-95
Mike Larocco...........414...................29.................154....................266...................???....................2..........90-04

Missing info on KDUB will get later, Its crazy to see the numbers when there laid out in front of you, I often wonder how much higher RJ and Hannah would have been if not for injury's in the Peak of there careers.

Attn DC, you should make a list like this for the Racer X vault site, all of the other major sports have stats on absolutely everything yet for Moto you have to Dig and Dig to get all of the info, just a thought?

Chad Reed only has 3 titles? That's crazy considering his talent.

Those are considered regional championships not national.

I totally agree. I think it has a little something to do with his career coinciding with the RC era and then the Stewart era. I say it's an issue of poor timing on the part of his parents :-)

Pretty cool how close the Ryans are together except Villo has 3 more titles for the same effort!

Larocco did 414 races. That is impressive.

A few years ago RX printed a list of riders that would have won a championship if RC was not there (guys that finished second)-Incredible list of names: Ferry, Kdub, Reynard, and many more I cant remember.

I think it's more crazy that Stewart only has 5, for someone who could match Carmichael's speed. Reed and Stewart are equal on big bike titles.

I'll admit that I've always thought of Stewart as an underachiever but when you see numbers on paper its hard to win that argument. Villopoto would basically need to win 40 of his next 45 races to achieve Stewarts 88 wins in a 155 races. Impressive.

Yes but 3 of the 5 titles James won Chad was there, and all 3 of Chad's titles James was not contending due to injury or just not caring for nationals in 09. Chad has has never won a title over James when the both finished the series. But the key word there is FINISHED.

That's the point here. They have completely opposite styles, but yet they're still dead even in a lot of categories. Pretty awesome.

If you say that about Reed, then x2 for Kdub. He has been up against those 3, plus MC!

I never thought of it that way, does that place the GPs on an even lower level because our regional riders are faster than their World champ riders? LOL, Rhetorical question, no need to answer.

I find some inconsistencies in your statistics. Some quick things I noticed:

1. Carmichael raced for 2 more years than McGrath but had 28 less races even though McGrath went supercross only?

2. James Stewart has 155 races and 140 top tens? Are you sure he hasn't crashed out of more than 15 races in his professional career?

3. Stanton was racing pro before 1989!
