I finally got the chance to take the 250 out a few times this year, I am trying to get used to riding it again as the track I am riding now has a lot bigger jumps and I am trying to get more confident at clearing them, but in order to get the bike started and stay running i have to crack the throttle a bit. Is this a common thing when the valves need adjusted ? Also seems I use the clutch a lot more because of the throttle issue makes me ride out of whack a little.
Also is jetting the carb a must to get rid of the bog ? seems to be a hesitation of the low end any suggestions would be awesome ! thanks

Has the bike been sitting a while? More than a couple months? You may need to do a carb clean. Also, yes, jetting will cause bogging. I had a quickshot 2 and changed literally every jet in the carb to get it diald. I changed the needle as well. What is your elevation?

Just found my jetting settings that I used.

172 main
42 pilot (stock, I think)
40 leak
NMUU needle on 2nd clip.

Ran this at roughly 1000 ft elevation. I'm sure you're quite a bit higher than Phoenix, so adjust accordingly.
