Hey man,, I have the same question!! My local tracks seem to develop ruts in the flats as wel.l, Do them right and its a big energy saving time maker, do them wrong and flounder about looking for traction ( i ride a 2strk too)..

Whats the best way to approach and set up for those tricky bastards??? Surely Vital can educate us..

go a gear higher, tilt the bike and sit on the corner of the seat, weight outside peg hard, smooth throttle

Use punctuation.....

But weighting the outside peg is HUGE, also looking ahead really helps you flow through the corner.....remember momentum is key

The best thing you can do is lower your forks about 1/4 to a 1/2 inch (to help the bike sit down in the rut), raise your inside leg up to about 65 degrees, look ahead, ride on the balls of your feet and smooth throttle control exiting the corner. I practice corners in the EXACT same conditions you're are talking about for nearly an hour a day Mon-Sat. and quite honestly, those conditions are the best to learn to ride in.

Hope it helps, good luck!
