48 pilot jet fouling plugs?

I have a 2010 kx250f and it's gone through two plugs in like two, three months time. Should I go down to a 44? Or whatever the next size down would be. It's fairly warm here, been in the 60s to 80s and I'm not above sea level. Well, I'm in Maine so I don't think I am. anything else that could be causing this? Also I run 94 VP racing gas in it, but I didn't re jet it or anything. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

yeah 48 is way to rich. go to a 45 see if that works and if not drop to a 42. stock is 40... the gas should be ok i run 91 in my 09 and its just fine. what is your needle set at ?

what you could do is get the next richer needle which is nhjs keep the clip in the same position. and run a 178 main 42 pilot and 2-2.5 turns out on your screw. ive found that thats the perfect jetting for our bikes.

everything is stock except the piilot. no clue why the previous owner put a 48 in it though.
