I want to start this off by saying one I am not a bubba fan. but I am a racing fan.

I don't know if this has been bought up by anyone but does anyone even realize what or how much james stewart lost to basically burn his bridge with JGR? maybe a few mil.? and even more importantly possibly a life after racing motorcycles in nascar?

wow. he's pretty much betting his entire future on him winning the outdoor season. this guy must be pretty confident! but truth be told thats the thing i like about it the most! the james stewart of old is a cocky SOB and this just might be the spark that lights the flame under his ass to show us what hes really got! I don't even think we've seen how fast this kid can go yet.

I must say I gained a little respect for bubba when i heard about the split. I can't remember a year when I have actually rooted for j7 but when I see a guy will will literally give up everything to win races I cant not wanna cheer for him!

so Thank you James, you gained a few new fans today!

This is going to get ugly.

So before it does let me just say that what a person does in their own life is of no concern to me. I appreciate every rider for the amount they sacrifice their body for my entertainment. I wish injuries weren't a part of this sport, but they are and every rider that lines up on the gate, be it the one with the richest contract or the poorest privateer are grossly under-compensated for the risk they take.

Having said that, I hope James gets some redemption and has a great outdoor campaign and wins the championship. I've always been a fan, but being a fan of his the last couple of years has been trying, to say the least.

Was James really a cocky SOB? Or was that your perception of him based on something you saw, or read, or imagined?

As far as giving up everything to win races...he still has to go out and win those races, first. Let's cart not the put before horse...or something like that.

I saw James' career spiralling out of control on a bike he obviously did not like. Getting out of that situation doesn't seem like the massive gamble you make it out to be SooWoo.

I think you'll see Toyota/JGRMX/Yamaha go out of their way to not say anything bad about James, and I think you'll see James go out of his way to not say anything bad about the JGRMX team, or the Yamaha. His statement is one example.

I'm just gonna say, there were some rhythm's needing to be hit in Vegas. Everyone was doing the same line and nobody took a chance on quadding what everyone else was hitting as a triple or tripling what everyone else was hitting as a double. It was fun racing but there wasn't that WOW factor that James seems to bring regularly.

Erratic on the track, erratic off the track. Was anyone surprised he crashed out after a few races? I was surprised that he didn't end up in stock car as that seemed to be the main goal of the jgr deal. Maybe someone at jgr had a reality check. (or nascar didn't want him on their tracks)

Occasionally people can realise they just are not suited to each other and agree to move on without trying to destroy the other party. It can happen.

Lets just say that if he drove NASCAR like he rides SX, well, NASCAR couldn't AFFORD to have him on the track. Nor any other team out there.
Hmmmmmm. Maybe he would've won some races though. IF everyone is afraid to get near you and you're close to the lead.........

YES, he gave lots of money now and later. JGR was pretty much his retirement egg! Much respect and should be commended as he has been accused of just wanting the Benjamins in the past!! Took me, he looks awesome on that Suzuki, wow, I'm still reeling from the video and how the bike seems to intuitively go where he wants it!! No more buckaroo!! Good luck James good or bad I'm a fan of racing and it is always fun when you are in it, even the ones that love to hate you, love it when you are riding!!

So, you have the details of both contracts and know how much money he is giving up? Maybe Suzuki is paying him more, who knows.

Stewart went 24-0 riding riding that. dungey cant even beat these guys on a consistent basis, just look at Seattle,

Dungey went 19--5 in his rookie season against pretty much the same competition, if not stronger competition. And what kind of argument was that. Stewart hasn't even beat dungey in championship points the 3 sx seasons he has raced him.
