Just wanted to point out to all the "Dungey is such a whiner" posters here that after his bike stopped at THE BOTTOM of Larocco's Leap at Red Buddddd:
A.) He pushed it up the hill (at the end of the second moto... guess his fitness is good)
B.) He stopped and threw his helmet, goggles, and gloves to the crowd
C.) Never saw him display any type of "whining" behavior
WORD! and respect!

We're not allowed to like, or appreciate Dungey. Our sport is supposed to be based on rebellion and thumbing our nose at authority. We are supposed to make fun of those guys who work hard, speak well, follow societies rules, respect other riders, have a faith, show appreciation to their fans, and are clean cut good human beings. Not perfect by any means but on the respectable side of things.Liking Dungey or riders like him makes us look soft and not cool.Dry

You act like the people who support Dungey and hate JLaw are the minority (industry wise). I think that the casual fan would be more intrigued by JLaw's antics.

I can think of a fairly long list of riders who'd have left their bikes lying by the side of the track before they stomped back to the pits. Obviously Ryan's not on that list.

Dungey was the only Lites rider consistently jumping LaRocco's Leap in the second moto, and as he was working on Canard on the last lap for second place, he reportedly ran out of gas and failed to finish, which put an even bigger points gap between he and Villopoto.

This is one of those discussion points from the past.

Ryan Dungey has been brought up in a respectfull, hard working, supportive family setting. He is a product of his environment.

Kids make all kinds of choices in their lifetime. They all come to that fork in the road, and make their call. Ryan is one of those young men that kids need to look up to, and try to take after.

As we've seen, Jade came on to defend his brother recently and took a bunch of crap for it because he did check his spelling and a couple of other things. I'd do the same if my brother got the thrashing Ryan did.

To the Dungey family, the best thing you can do is stay away from this and any other message board. Keep doing what you have been for the past 15 years. You've gotten to this point with out our input, and you'll do just fine in the future with out it.

OK, off my soap box and back to work.

Remember two years ago at millville (I think) when Chad threw his bike down after his chain broke and stormed off the track? That was a classic tantrum.

+1...Ryan and Family are a class act. The people who see him as Friday depicts, are no doubt, Monster Truck show fans who will not be satisfied until all we have is SX races dominated by WWE personalities.

Who cares about the way someone acts during a competitive situation. At least the riders are not going into the stands after fans or choking their trainers or coach. If that starts then Keyboard Cowboys will have something to comment on. Throwing your bike down or getting worked up and making comments is ok in my book. Why does everybody want to interpret everything like a Felini film.
