Mark D, Kvamme is Ohio's chief of Jobs.

He wrecked at our local track in Ohio a year ago.

That's pretty much all this office knows.

I think MDK's head tuner/engine builder is around in norcal still under "BLONICS". or might be Blonix.

Yea, I worked with him a bit at MDK, he's still with CL Hann Industries who was partners with Kvamme at MDK Speed. Erich was head of motors and #2 was Mike Foster who still works out of the Speed shop under the name Blonix. Pete Hann offered Foster a job in his Machine shop or the Speed shop to start his own gig because everything was paid for.I tell Foster how jealous I am all the time, Dyno, Flowbenches, Serdi, etc... All for free, that lucky bastard!!!

I could tell ya some fuckin funny stories from back in our party days, on his hands and knees in my kitchen barking like a dog haha Late 80's early 90's were the party days! I still have TONS of those days on 8mm vid tapes, i would turn on my camcorder and not even tell anyone and let it record the whole night. Good times! You ever see him tell him i said hi!

My brother is married to Kwamme's cousin...He's a great guy -- When MDK was still up and running he used to take my brother and his family to all of the Cali SX and National races. He gave my nephew a really nice, slightly tricked, barely ridden 2010 KTM 250 XCF-W...A good guy, indeed.

Lanza used to come hang out at my house back in those days too, good times!! I need to dig up a vid i have of Nealer riding a z50 with a broken neck, he turned my house into the LA Coliseum, coming up the front of the house up my w'chair ramp, through the kitchen and down the ramp into the garage, friggen hilarious!!

The Hann's are great people, helped out my good bro Tim McClintock back in the day.

Recession. Mark had a great idea & a heart of gold, but absolutely messed up on the timing of the economy. Danny did his best to hold the racing team together, but the stores were losing money (as was the racing team). Even a successful venture capitalist only has pockets so deep.

Hoping we see MDK reincarnated with his current beverage ventures. He's one of the good guys & loves SX & MX.

Hey Scottie! Those were some good times. I had no idea the camera was on, now I feel like I was used and abused...

Softy!!! whats up brother? damn it has been a loong time! Do you ever talk to Tim? Good ole "salamander hands" Maute!! I have really lost touch with most of the old gang. Wart got back in touch with Pingle not long ago. My bro has had a couple tough years, nasty divorce, but has a two of the raddest kids you could ever imagine.

Hope you are doing well!!

....damn, how about the old Zoom Cycles days? Cool

Man, we sure had some wild times...words dont even come close to describing just how out of control it was Laughing

It always seemed weird to me how big and fast the MDK thing came about. I never understood how it made money but your post sorta clarifies what I already suspected.

So is MDK not around in any capacity? How many shops did they have? None are left open? Or is it just now the one place renamed Bionix that is left?

Haven't talked to T-Mac in a while...Used to see Ping every year at SF SX, but I haven't seen/talked to him in a while either.
Bummer about Wart, must suck to go thru that with the kids...
Old Zoom cycle days indeed, There was some Kim Pearce (Pierce) days in there too! I don't think I was rasta enough for her though...Ha!
