I have the same bike, and I ride way up in the top end too. I put stage 2 hot cams in mine and that made the world of difference. it carries wayy further. I also run 13/50 so that might help as well. Which is stock gearing.

Not sure of your skill level , but 14/52 is for pretty fast dudes. I run 13/50 or 51 and i use a yosh rs 4 full exhaust, had a fmf 4.1 megabomb, the yosh is way better on my rmz.. Different pipes have different power. and x2 on the cams, and mapping will help, out , that year 08/09 rmz 450 did not rev out that good, thats why aftermarket pipe, cam, mapping will really help. The 10-12 rmz 450 revs out farther stock now.

added Full Yosh RS4 and remapped mine also(Vet rider also--- it's all I need)
-- now get the susp done/ take notes on settings at different tracks

--- now just practice turns, that's where the fast guys go faster !

Yea I just put the Yoshimura RS-4 full exhaust and it pulls further up top too. Like I said, the cams really turn that motor around. If I was you i would get a full Stainless/Aluminum Yoshimura RS-4 system and see how you like that, and if you still want more top end after that, get the cams.

Not the best website, but Tom is great at what he does and extremely knowledgeable. 1 man operation and he is on top of things. I called him and set everything up, he told me when to send it out and my ECU was on it's way back to me the next day. Give him a call and you will know that he is as good as advertised. Tell him Brian Williams sent you and he will hook you up. He will also not charge you until the work is done and your stuff is on its way back so that you know there are no scams. Just a great all around guy!

I love my dad's 07 rmz450 the top carries for so long and it over revs like a mother. That thing pulls but I weight 150 so.... Haha.
Kinda irrelevant but it's an rmz.
