Stewart's first year in the big leagues was 2005. His first four years he won SX in 2007 and MX in 2008. 2009 was his 5th year.

They are both even in premier class titles, which in my opinion is what matters. If Dungey wins MX, Dungey, Villopoto, Stewart, and Reed will go into 2013 with 3 championships. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

I thought some of villo's fanboys were saying he would get Carmichael-esque numbers in a couple years. I didnt even realize he had so few MX wins (yes he was injured but still) looks like he's got a long way to go...

funny them fanboys

Another good question is, who has missed more races due to injury? That has to be close.

Another close one would be who has a better start to win ratio.

Dungey's first 2 1/2:

SX Wins: 9
MX Wins: 14
Titles: 2

Two races left in SX, and the favorite going into MX. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him tie Stewart's 16 MX win mark this year. I honestly would not be surprised if Dungey won every race and tied for 3rd in all time MX wins. Not saying it will happen, I just won't be surprised with the guys that are out.

thats not right...

Dungey had 10 MX wins in 2010 alone, he has 14 right now. Got 4 last year and we know how Freestone and Southwick went...

Yea...ooops...I knew that. That's what I get for just copying a number from Wikipedia and not paying attention to it.

He will get as close to RCs records as James will get to MCs records.

If he is out the entire MX season(which is probably the case), check out RV stats

Supercross (68 races in 4 years)
58 starts
--- 85%
24 wins
--- 41% of races started
---35% of total races
Never started every race in a season

Motocross (48 races in 4 years)
14 starts
--- 29%
4 wins
--- 29% of races started
--- 8% of total races

Total (116 races in 4 years)
72 starts
--- 62%
28 wins
--- 39% of races started
--- 24% of total races

Here are RD's stats so far:

Supercross (49 races)
44 starts
--- 90%
9 wins
--- 20% of races started
--- 18% of total races

Motocross (24 races)
24 starts
--- 100%
14 wins
--- 58% of races started
--- 58% of total races

Total (73 races)
68 starts
--- 61%
23 wins
--- 34% of races started
--- 32% of total races

RD's outdoor win percentage is pretty crazy. It is only going to get better this year.

Why can't you count the ones he missed? I did win percentages for all the races and just the ones he started.

For comparison sake

RC's first four years of sx are 99 to 02 and he won 26 races (0-99,1-00,14-01,11-02)
RC's first four years of MX are 00 to 03 and he won 37 races (9-00,7-01,12-02,9-03) He also won 1 125 mx race in 125 01
RC's total 63 wins

Mc's first four years of sx are 93 to 96 and he won 43 races(10-93,9-94,10-95,14-96)
Mc's first four years of mx are 94 to 97 and he won 14 races (0-94,7-95,7-96,0-97)
MC's Total 57 wins
