Believe the Hype was not even the Alessi's Idea Tony has addressed this too many times. People either need to pay attention better or STFU about things they don't understand.

Only thing Mike #800 does is try to keep others from racing. Gets a good start and then gets in every ones way!!! Just my honest opinion.

Yep that is ALL he does. He rides 300 miles a week on a bicycle and invests his time and body, eats right, travels, and sacrifices so that he can be a rolling tough block!

you are entitled to your opinion it just seems like a guy in 9th overall and not known for being a Supercross rider is having a decent year especially if you consider he is on a fairly stock bike.

Just MY honest opinion.

Like Mike says he is racing supercross this year instead of just riding it and waiting for outdoors. Mike is one of the few who races for every position. He doesn't just move over like alot of guys do. The biggest improvement I see from Mike this year is the whoops and he doesnt look behind anymore. He has a damn good shot of winning the outdoors. Just go watch some videos the last time he rode Suzukis! Hey Bobby do you have any of those videos?

Roger at KTM won't want him.
Kawaski won't want him with RV being on the team.(I expect him to resign.)
Honda is full.
Suzuki I doubt want's him back.
That really leaves JGR for a factory ride.

personally I don't think he's done much better at SX this year,his starting has always put him in a decent position on the first lap but with so many guys out it's easier to hold onto positions and the riders he's running with are more his level,all great,just not podium material,no disrespect to them just that RD,CR,JS,TC,KW etc are not there,but having sai that,I just watched last weeks round and its as good as I've seen him ride for a while,after Merry and Short etc all got hung up they didn't reel him in.He's always better outdoors and I think he'll do ok but I doubt better than 4th overall

I don't really believe the "Hype"

This is about as entertaining as a J-Law thread.
"Good" results in the decimated field.
Though I am impressed with recovering from holeshot and fade trend.
Must have hurt with arch nemesis getting on the box last weekend.

His only shot of ever winning anything is if dungey, villo, grant, millsaps, weimer, brayton and a few others take a permanent vacation from racing. Alessi has never been a title threat, and what makes you think he will be now? Because he can get an sx holeshot and then proceed to toss out an anchor? Speaking of 800, from watching Inside the Moto, it seemed like his outdoor program of driving the motorhome and practicing in between wherever he can find tracks is different from what most of the other guys are doing -- practicing / training at home and then flying in for the races. Doesn't it seem like spending so much time driving and learning new random tracks in the week would be a distraction and increase the risk of injury (the crash at Zach Osborne's comes to mind)? Or is it for financial reasons?
He has the raw speed outdoors, I'd love to see him do well.
