DeCoster mentioned on the show this week that he's already spoken to the Ryan's, and that Barcia is really the only Lites' rider on his radar for now. I received a lot of email and feedback mentioning other riders, but it's Bam Bam's to lose, and that's a formidable team.

He also wants to head over early and get the boys some extra time on the Belgium sand. Fortunately, the schedule allows for that this year.

Roger is always a great, candid, interview.

So is he already ruling out Stewart?

Remember how fast Barcia always is at Southwick.... I know Southwick is no Lommel, but it's the sandiest of the 12 national tracks. But down in Florida, where both Ryans live, and Barcia is nearby, seems like they could all gather at Croome or Brooksville and do so riding!

Where's Cocoa Beach or St. Pete when we need it?!

i hope they come to one of the tracks im practicing at during the week before the des nations!!!

Cant wait for the des nations this year- i hope they improve the viewing at lommel for this race though, its not the best spectator track, should make for some good racing though!!! I wonder where they will practice for lommel?!

Things I'd guess could change if Stewart shows more speed than the Ryan's outdoors no? (not saying he will) I kind of see it as a conflict of interest with Roger and RyanD.

what about honda, RDecoster and a whole lineup of honda factory riders that whooped ass in the 80's. i guess we shoulda worried about conflict of interest. gimme a break.

RDecoster picks who he thinks is the strongest that he can get. if you doubt his credibility, your not a true motocrosser.

After last year I doubt Stewart will pursue a spot on a team.

Smart of Roger to treat Lommel seriously and turn up early. I guessed he would do this.

RD and RV are a no-brainer at this point in their careers. I mean unless one or the other is injured, or for some weird reason seriously off form - they're always going to be on the team. Just as with Tedesco previously or Baggett last year, Barcia is this year's question mark entry.

Roger fields the best team possible, regardless. Plenty of time for a rider to earn a spot.

I just love he's already planning for it!

thats what i was thinking (that theres nowhere similar to practice on) - they could go across the border to somewhere like budel or lierop? (both deep but not like lommel)

that practice day video is the smoothest ive ever seen lommel by the way! we normally ride there on the friday though- im guessing that video was taken earlier in the week (after the track is graded on the monday) - friday through to sunday its always mega rough even on the practice days!! (not gp rough but still rough!)

I cant wait for this roadtrip- and i cant wait to see RV, dungey and co ride round lommel!

How about that Thunder In The Sand beach track in south Jersey? They have a race on June 1-3. Falls on the same weekend as the Thunder Valley national though.....

that track herlings and van hoerbeek are on is cool, ive seen that video before. Hondaparc i like, but not that keen on veldhoven. Eersel is a cool track and usually attracts a fair few gp riders- i'd love to see RV ride round eersel!!!!

Sweet! I'm sure Barcia will be a great representative if it's him picked.

Dungey is great. I was always a fan of his, but after having the chance to meet him at Lakewood MXdN, I became a HUGE fan of him. He's a great guy and awesome ambassador for US motorcycling as well. I just think it was a little premature for Roger to be 'picking' the team yet. Maybe I, or the OP, took what Roger said out of context. I find it interesting though the committee didn't speak to last years team first and say "It's your seat to loose guys". How they picked Shorty two years ago was a friggin' joke.
