What suspension should I run, older A-kit or stock WP (2012 ktm 250sx)

Just bought a '12 ktm 250 two stroke. I can't figure out what would be best, to have my A-kit revamped to fit the KTM, or just keep the stock WP stuff on the bike.

Either way I'm sure a revalve is required.

So assuming equal set-up with either suspension, what do you guys think will work best, a showa A-kit from 2006 or the new WP stuff that comes on the KTM?

Thanks

A friend of mine has the MXA bike that they have A-kits on (its a 2012 KTM250SX) he loves it... he said the most noticeable difference is how easy it was to tune track to track. Saying the WP stuff was harder to get to work from one track to the other while the A-kit stuff was one click here or there and was great. DO IT! (biggest thing will be since idk what your A-kits were off of previously is getting the correct fork lugs to make it fit the KTM axle size and have the correct offset.

A kit all day long,if you are fast enough and have the money for it. that stuff is so sick, i would love to have it, but to slow to really appreciate it.

What do you mean by "updated"? Is the newer KIT stuff significantly different than what I have from '06? Or, are you saying that refitting the axle lugs and all that would be a head ache?

If older model A-kit stuff is no better than the newer WP then there is no reason for me to switch. If it is just the hassle of fitting the A-kit to my new bike, PC has all the parts required to do that.

Thanks.

If you have true A-kit stuff no production suspension will ever compare. You'd be crazy to think the WP's could be made to have the same smooth action and absorb the same amount of abuse without investing significant money.

I've been running showa B kit on my 12 250 sx, way mo betta than stock. I have an 08 set of honda A kit forks I will be putting on as soon as Applied Racing finishes my clamps. Talk to Christi. I am using front wheel and brake system off my 500AF.
Funny thing, the 2012 KTM fork guards bolt right on to the honda forks.

I'm also running Ohlins TTX shock with this set up.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I will be sending my showas to PC so they can rework them for the KTM.

Active Ride put KYB internals in Renner's KTM outdoor bike a couple years ago. Night a day difference.
