that was quite a head smacker from the swingarm and rear wheel. Watching him take the mule ride out he looked beyond dazed and confused. His head had to have been laying on the ground after his crash momentarily ended and then bam! the other bike smacked him, sandwhiching his head between 220lbs plus momentum and the dirt. I sure hope he is OK and can come back strong for outdoors.

I think at this point his best best would be to take the rest of SX off and focus on getting back to 100% for outdoors. I would hate to see him continue his bad luck in SX and maybe get hurt even worse. His new goal should be the first rider in history to go 24-0 twice in the outdoors Smile

Kind of off topic, but is GoPro going to show their footage of the main events? Obviously their top rider only has 10 seconds worth of footage, but I always enjoyed watching all of them.

The initial fall to the dirt seemed enough to do damage.
The side of his head looked to hit hard.

A few months may not be long enough to get back to 100%. Neurological injuries take much longer to heal than bones do. There's no set time frame. It could take only a few months, then again it could take years to fully recover. That's why James situation is scary. He has had 9 concussions in the last 10-15 years. Has he really had a chance to fully recover from each one of those? Or is the damage just adding up to a point of no return?

Of course I would. There are plenty that disappear that don't require and explanation.

Put on a helmet. Have someone just take a bike on it's side, pick up the rear end, ket them drop it on your head. See how it feels. I'm sure Windham's bike hit him harder than that, but toil get the idea.

Am I the only one that was told that James did not have a concussion? Rumor is that his absence in Toronto has nothing to do with injuries, bike problem or lack of results.

taken from racer x,

“I talked to J-Bone and he explained that James did pass a concussion test at the track after his crash last week (not the one with the baseline and follow-up test, which is called the Impact test and will be mandatory for this summer's outdoor nationals; there is a different test that can be taken at the track and James passed that one) but he did not feel fit enough to race the LCQ"
