If he can wrap up the championship a round early, I wouldn't be surprised if he rides the 450 at Vegas

is that better than winning the east/west shootout?

I'd say so. He pretty much cruised around at last years shootout anyways

Barcia is the real deal in SX for sure. On the 450 outdoors he was the only one even close to the Ryan's level (after Reed's crash). He'll be a contender right away on the 450. Plus he seems to get every holeshot. That alone will make him a contender for wins.

In thinking about it, if he is in the position to get a perfect championship, maybe not

Barcia is the whole package.....and is only going to get better/stonger

RV and Justin a re not in the same era.

But he's gonna be in there fuvking up stewart, reed, dungey and RV....so will Deano. And canard. Maybe seely too.

Hope there is not too much complaining....

I don't see how hes a total package? In my eyes he'd have to at least get this next outdoor title to be called a total package. There is no one contending for titles that don't already have titles in both sx and outdoors (villopoto, stewart, dungey, reed, canard)

how many titles does barcia have outdoors?

He looks great in supercross- but with no outdoor title (and not many race wins) you can hardly call him the whole package!! Justin will have his hands full in the outdoors this year, roczen, wilson, tomac, baggett, musquin, wharton are all gona be quick.

Regional supercross titles can hardly be compared to the titles in the main class (or even 'lites' outdoors titles)

He showed good speed last year on the 450. Dungey and Canard didn't win the outdoors until their final year in the Lites either.

You can tell he is going to be bloody quick in the 450 supercross though.

Right dungey didn't win 250outdoors until villopoto was gone and I don't think trey had even finished a hole outdoor series healthy til the last one where he won it. Barcias had 3 full and healthy outdoor seasons and hasn't gotten the title plus last years champ Wilson will be there again this year. So it's not very likely that he wins outdoors.

I could see Geico letting him ride the 450 outdoors (under their tent) like they did will Metcalfe a few years ago.
Does Geico have any amateur's moving up and joining the team for the nationals?

This year (before injuries) a bad start meant you were lucky to get a top 5 if your name wasn't Ryan Villopoto. In 3-5 years we could be looking at bad starts = no top 10's for top guys.

The one thing Barcia is absolutely nailing at the moment is the starts!

He's in a rich vein of form thats for sure, just as Tomac was until his get off. Would love those two go head to head on a SX track right now.

Barcia will not win outdoors therefore not the total package. I believe he might have a few wins but the other guys; Tomac, Wilson and Baggett will get the better of him.
