You should have seen it before I washed it after the last ride. It was covered with mud and it was hard to get it this clean again. It is after all a dirt bike Wink

The bike is looking great! I may go orange fender and 300 kit on mine. Let me know how you like the factory fatty. I love it on my bike.

Ok so I went down to the KTM Dealer at lunch yesterday... they said they cant even get 250SX right now because they sell fast.... but they have a 2 - 2011 350SXF, 1 Factory addition 450 SXF with and additional factory addition on the way...... they gave me the hard sell on the Factory addition but I said give me a call when you get 250SX!!!

Yeah I think the orange fender looked better on the bike. Intresting if you buy the 300-kit Smile I didnt have the time to take a ride with the new exaustsystem, I did start it tough and it felt snappier. I will try it early next week and I really hope I can use theese summerwheels for the first time then Tongue

I know its hard but if you can, wait for the 2013 model. My local dealer placed an order on one yesterday and will probably get it early May. I hope get the new plastic to fit my bike.

Nor-Cal Motorsports in Sacramento has one maybe two I believe.

Call them up.

Where can you see a photo or information on the 2013 will they change much, I have not ridden since 2002 after breaking my right Scaphoid pretty bad and decided it was enough money spent of surgeries and rehab and that maybe it was too dangerous afterall like everyone was telling me. After returning from Afghanistan last summer I think I am ready to start enjoying life and start to Ride again..... plus the wife said it was not problem I should get one!!!

You cant see a photo of the 2013 but it will at least get new plastics like the 2012 450 factory edition and probably the 25mm rear axle like the factory edition.
Of course you should get your self a bike! Smile

Damn I got a 2012 250sx in januari. You are making me so jelaous! I just got a pipe, some orange uber factory bling(makes you go fast) and decals on. Oh well, atleast I get to ride mine tomorrow! :D

Im interested in that ride enginerring link you got, you should really tell me how it handles with it compared to stock once you get some riding in on your bike! Tongue

I have 10 hours on the bike with the link and I can really recommend it.
I wrote about i earlier in this thread.
However, if you buy a new link you should probably consider harder forksprings too. Im running 0.46 springs now and lowered the oilheight to 375 from the original 390.

wetterstrand, i have completed a very similar project.. had the time of my life n will post some pics... bought a 12 250sx, powder coated frame orange,i put the black air box in, orange rear fender, pro circuit pipe, silencer, renthol bars,, i didnt get rim, but i did get mx-techs ''works treament'' dont on my suspension... OMG! he is a master with ktm's! and the huck valve is simiply ''unbelievable'', the bike feels glued to the ground, n really confident aspiring, front is butter smooth, very plush, EXCELLENT bottoming resistince... i just recenly put the 300sx kit on it.. its like riding a 250, but on steroids! u can go into any turn a gear high, braaap, right out.. n screams to the moon.

I will buy the orange anodized sxs-clamps instead because the xtrigs is only availible in dark gold/copper color for the public and I dont like that look on the bike so I will wait until I can get the new sxs-clamps for the 2013 frontfender and numberplate.

A suggestion is put a 38mm carb on it. It makes a huge difference! And Get a handlebar mount ignition switch to change between the two settings. Just something I did on my KTM and it worked great! And a Pro Circuit works pipe and shorty silencer is the way to go!

A suggestion is put a 38mm carb on it. It makes a huge difference! And Get a handlebar mount ignition switch to change between the two settings. Just something I did on my KTM and it worked great! And a Pro Circuit works pipe and shorty silencer is the way to go!
I use the red spring for aggressive setting and I plug and unplug the contact under the tank if I want to change the mapping but I run the aggressive mapping all the time.
I have an FMF system as you can see so I wont switch to pro circuit but thanks for the carb recommendation
