EC has passed away. I worked with him for a while in Dickson TN. He was a true craftsman with the most steady hand I have ever seen. Most think of his port work, but I remember him as a master welder also. Godspeed

Sad to hear. He sat around our campfire in Tuscaloosa Alabama talking shop with my mechanic at several NMA races.

Godspeed E.C. Birt...He told us one time that he ported his engine on the way to the track with his pocket knife...Karting world has lost a good man.
