Daytona SX question

Family planning on going and need a number of tickets. Does anyone know if local dealers are selling tickets at discount for this race? I have been able to do that for other venues. Kinda tough on families to pay $30- $40 a seat for 4 and 6 year old. thanks

I've never been to Daytona, but one of my good friends went several years ago. He said you could buy a more expensive ticket that got you down by the side of the track (standing on a portion of the NASCAR track) or a cheaper general admission ticket that allowed you sit in the grandstands. I'm not sure on prices. Most local dealerships will give away free pit passes the days leading up to the event so you can call around and try to save some money with that.

I've been to Daytona many times. I've never seen a discounted ticket...ever. DO NOT pay for the track side viewing upgrade. The track is on a steep pitch so it's super uncomfortable for spectating. In addition to that, it's packed so tight that you can't move. Just pay for seats and enjoy the race. Also, park in the track infield. You can cruise the pits, check out practice and still return to your vehicle. There is no pit pass. The pits are open to everyone. Also, try to make it out to the main parking lots. Because it's bike week there are tons of displays, bike test rides, etc. going on all day. Have fun! Daytona is a unique animal.
