Who do you think has the best Team in supercross

Edited Date/Time 2/13/2012 10:47am
My nod goes to twotwo.

I'm not asking who's your favorite rider but more like which team has done the most with what resources they have to work with or which team works best together. For example my out of the know nod goes to TwoTwo because they have done a lot more in the last two years with less resources than say JGR. Do you think there's a better team than TwoTwo? Who is it and what in your opinion makes them better their resources, mechanics, managers, money, experience, etc?

Interesting question. If you are winning you are doing great. Everyone is happy and nobody is pointing fingers. If you aren't winning and think you should be, then everyone is scrambling and looking for answers.

Kawi is happy.

TwoTwo is happy.

KTM can't be satisfied with how the bike performed the past two weeks.

JGR is definitely not happy with how things have gone.

IMO.

I think JGR probably has the best capabilities, based on the access to the NASCAR facilities as far as fabricating, and J-bone has been around this business for a while. However, I think they're trying to polish a turd with the Yamaha. I'd like to see what they could do with one of the more conventional bikes.

KTM is committed to win, and the new 450 is impressive, however, I think this season will be a work in progress. Any team with "The Man" leading it, should be at the top of the list of "best teams".

I think Kawasaki has the best bike on the line right now, the switch to a new bike (the 12' model) back during the middle nationals was not only seamless, but was the difference in the c'ship if you ask me. That wasn't luck, those boys know what they're doing.

22 Motorsports has done more with less in just over a year than any of the above. Even before Chad started getting factory bikes, he was competitive. The fact that he was able to carry over his SX success into the nationals was impressive. The addition of Goose in the off-season, as well as the commitment from Honda, has put 22 on the top of the heap IMHO.

Everyone knows there can be but one best team. Look how Bad Billy and his boys stick together!

Best with what they have?

Moto Concepts?
JDR KTM?
H&H?

All have done great this season considering they get very little support, if any, from manufacturers in order to develop their bikes.

Best team overall?

Two Two - whatever they are doing to get Chad comfortable enough to be willing to hang it out in the whoops like he was is a great job. RV will hang it out even if his bike is only 90%, but getting Chad completely comfortable is something else. Makes you wonder how much of a benefit it has been to have Goose on board and if Dungey is missing him at all at this point?

A toss up between Kawi and TwoTwo.

As far as team pride, spirit, enthusiasm, PROGRESS - I would vote for Chad's team.

Two Two is obviously up there mainly due to results from their resources but I think the number of interviews, his social media approach and professionalism are what other teams could learn from.
I'm also very impressed with the way JDR have made themselves known, their choice of riders and the fact they are running teams both in the US and Australia.

I was really surprised Dungey didn't push for Goose to move with him, or maybe Goose didn't want to go? Wonder if Dungey was blaming Goose for some of the issues they had last year? It seemed odd that for whatever reason they didn't continue together. Reed was all too happy to have him on board I'm sure.

Two Two hands down.

If Reed want's to continue as a team owner after he is done racing he is demonstrating to every potential rider he may sign that his team can compete at the highest level. He is getting it done in every aspect that makes up a successful race team and has surpassed every non factory and most factory efforts.

I'd like to give a nod to Eleven10. Anyone who can build a bike that outpulls a PC Kawi is doing something right!

Where and when was this picture taken? Did Durham pass Tyla? I'm laughing at this pic. Pretty epic. "Hey, I'm going to be your team mate next year, gotta go!"
