Can you imagine how little views Sundays races are going to get? with it being SuperBowl Sunday and all...

Looks like it's time for the mid-west to miss out on SX; Sunday at noon on Directv shows "Inside Indiana Business".

If we only knew the sponsor $$$ amount showing this on CBS versus Fuel or Speed then everyone would have the answer. The sport is not being promoted as some would think through viewing on CBS (not the fans!). It's the sponsors paying the big $$ to a major network making more money than they could with the others. I never hear CBS promoting it all week. Too bad that wasn't written in the contract for the sport. Sunday afternoon, surfing the channels and someone happens to stumble upon it. Also the camera work and number of them should be discussed as well! We all get sick of seeing someone 12 seconds out front and no other cameras showing the other battles. Many times the battles in the pack are better than the ones out front.

So I have been going on and on about missing the races due to football. I have looked into it and found there is another CBS channel on dish that does air the races. It's not in HD but at least I can watch at the correct time so I don't read it before seeing it.. So if any of you guys have SAT look in the upper 4 digit numbers. Mine is 8775

I really dislike the tape delays. While I have not seen any ratings information, I would be surprised that the tape delay ratings for CBS against live on Speed are stronger. I would even be happy if the audio live broadcast was back. Staring at timing sheet that updates every 20 secs or so for the 2+ hours takes a die hard fan.

Take a listen to the Matthes Oakland review podcast on iTunes (sorry, don't have a link). Weege talks about the whole CBS program and why it is how it is. He's said multiple times that the ratings are always way, way higher on CBS. That is the main reason that the show is dumbed down. He also said that the reason for the sometimes annoying 15 minute segments of someone doing something that doesn't interest us hardcore fans is that Feld is trying to get sponsors to help them pay the huge bill to get on to CBS.
