Why do you shoot moto?

What's your excuse?

But it's a good question.
Must be the combination of bike, rider, roost, backgrounds.
For me it’s good fun and kind of a challenge.
Just trying to get that perfect action shot.
MX includes everything you need for that.

I never shot car races and stuff like that. Looks boring to me.
Cars are all in the fast racing line and the photos look different because of the car colour.
You will have 20 replica pictures of one corner with different colloured cars in it.
Not so with MX, they are all over the track, use different lines, riding styles etc. etc.
The MX tracks change during the day also, so there is so many more options in MX.

Because I love moto.

And that ofcourse.

I cant shoot wake, skate, ski, bmx, etc... Well i probably can,,, I just love moto though.

We all know the passion and effort these guys put into the sport. Its always great to capture the moment.

I would always watch riders and just think "That would make a sick picture!" and I wanted to capture that "Moment". When you're able to capture that "Moment", you feel satisfied. Motocross is awesome.

Besides being a great sport it's the constant photo opportunities for me. With portaits and weddings you are always working on poses. Landscapes you have to find the right place, the right light etcc....

With moto you have constant photo ops all day long.

I shoot moto because when done right a story can be told. It's damn beautiful, too - pure art.

Bingo! Once you get roped into motocross and see the true beauty of it - it's hard to shoot anything else! From the awe on spectator faces to the raw aggression from the riders it's just straight up amazing! Not to mention some of these tracks are located in crazy beautiful places. Seems like motocross covers those whole spectrum of photography.

I shoot it because I'm still on a crusade for that one perfect photo, I've come close a few times but I'm still trying.

I do it because it is entertaining, fun, a hobby, what every you want to call it. As soon as it was no longer fun or like a job where I had to make money doing it, I wouldn't do it anymore. I cannot compete with pros in an effort to get the perfect photo, and if I did get a perfect shot, it would a stroke of luck, which is not very satisfying, at least to me. For me I would like to envision something in my mind and then be able to shoot it as I seen it in my mind. Once I can attain that, I will probably be onto my next hobby.

Well, shoot film and you'll be forced to do what seems so elusive and you can get on to that new hobby.

not only is it one of the hardest sports to do it s also one of the most challenging o shoot. Fast action and constant changing light conditions.
I like the challenge. I like the challenge of making my next photo better than the last one I shot.

Besides I am too old and too slow to race..

I shoot MotoX because of my background with the sport but also for the challenge

Its always new and fresh every rider is unique and every track is a new challenge as to the setup
I think once you start shooting moto other things become boring fast nothing compares
