WANTED Harley Davidson 1978 MX250 NOS REAR FENDER

I have been trying to find a NOS Rear Fender for a Harley Davidson 1978 MX250.

I have a new never started MX250 with a cracked rear fender

If anyone has a lead please let me know.

Rumor on the street is that this part is going to cost some major cash....

You've tried Rick Horvat in Ohio already I'm guessing?

How about Joe Abbates Cycle Therapy? I sold my MX250's to him and he restored both of them. Plastics had to be obtained for both bikes.

Talked to both rick and Joe this week...........rumor is they are none out there......I figured I'd try this forum......maybe Ill get lucky but based on their opinion its going to be a miracle

I seem to recall a front nos fender on Ebay within the last year. Every now and then something pops up.

Hey Tim, I think I talked to you a while back on "Marks" I think your right on zero out there. I lost count on how many Harley places I contacted that deal with parts for these bikes or carried them back in the day. Spoke with hi-speed motorcycles.com about a month ago. He told me he sold his last 2 at $700 a pop.

I am about ready to buy another MX250 just for the rear fender......If I had half a brain I would have bought 100 rear fenders back in the day and I would be drinking umbrella drinks in cancun everyday......

Try calling Uncle Bill at The Motorcycle Accessory Shop in AZ. He has a place in the back called the Black Hole. He has all kinds of stuff back there. He has 2 of the 78 MX250's there. 480-835-6228. Tell him The World Famous sent you.

Tim, I waited a few days to give you first crack. Here is the response from Uncle Bill:
"He's world famous in his own mind. I still have 1 new, in the plastic oem fender set, but I'm saving them for my next bike. I haven't seen any for sale in 5 or 6 years.
Good Luck on you search."

Not at all Tim. I'm just trying to incite him to get his his buddy to sell to us. He says some so I assume more then 1. I respect that your first. Thats why I waited 4 days before I contacted Uncle Bill.
