They must work. I don't see any gloves in my gearbag that weren't made in either pakistan or sri lanka.

Whatever happened to the good old days when all our stuff was lovingly hand crafted by an army of Finnish grandmothers on husky sewing machines?

There are a lot of clothing articles made in Pakistan and India that nobody uses there.
