Anybody used anyone of the systems, if so on what bike and whats the opinion. I have seen some top guys using them ,but I like to get opinions on products from riders that actually pay for their stuff.

Your starting a thread thats like 2 stroke or 4 stroke... I have a 2012 Kaw 450 with a full FMF RCT. It comes on sooner blends well into the middle and then pulls linear and strong up top where it feels like theres even more then stock.

What made you decide on the fmf over the other brands?. Is the fmf system quieter than stock?, and yea thanks Jabroni, nice try lol.

I put an FMF RCT on my son's 2012 KX450F and he LOVES it.
The power is more linear, the bike pulls better, and it has a nice tone. It is also lighter than the stock system I took off.
It was a great mod to an already amazing bike.

Ive been using the FMF on my 09 yz250f and it makes a noticeable chang in the bike. The only problem ive had with FMF is the midpipe always comes loose where it connects to the header. Weve tried using rtv or clamps to hold it but it always seems to come loose. Weve bent the midpipe and broke some bolts on them a couple times because of this. I dont have the newest FMF RCT it was the 4.1 that came out before it so maybe it would work better.

If your bike is EFI, you'll get a lot more out of the motor by changing the ECU mapping than just slapping on an aftermarket exhaust. Changing the mapping AND using an aftermarket exhaust is the tits. I've used FMF for years. I have the 4.1 RCT with Powerbomb on my '11 KX450 and a remapped ECU. It's awesome all around. The carbon fiber tip makes you go faster!

Pics?, What made you decide on the PC pipe. both systems are sick on the kawy. Seems like the pc silencer is longer than the fmf system.

Suit yourself.

Everyone here can claim they ''feel'' (read: hear) the difference. But Kawasaki's factory dyno tells a different story.

Want to change the power delivery? Go with the ECU as suggested.

And if you absolutely must burn a $1000 to get that 1 extra hp from the one aftermarket exhaust system that I know of that will provide it...go with a Akropovic.

I guess you guys did not read the oringinal post,I wanted opinions on the 2 systems. Thanks though, and i will assume you guys have completely stock bikes. Hope Big D and Mitch do not read this . Telling every rider to use stock. lol. I wonder how they stay in business then , because most top guys get their stuff free. I always love when a grown man tells another grown man how to spend their money.

Nobody's telling you how to spend your money, some of us are just sharing a bit of knowledge gained from many years of racing and riding and the fact of the matter is, 99.9% of riders do not need any more power than a modern bike has stock. Another fact is that loud aftermarket exhausts are heavily contributing to the masses of riding area closures. The only reason Ive ever replaced a stock exhaust on a dirt bike is because it was either worn out or smashed.

I guess you must be one of the .1% That can actually benefit from a new pipe. You are a better man than I.

Never said i was buying one, just wanted opinions. Wonder how they stay in business with your theory. Guess the local racers and LL racers just wasted their money. Replaced with a stock unit i assume.

I think it really depends on the bike to. Some need it some don't. I have a 2010 crf250 and it had no bottom end, until I stuck on an akropovic system, which helped a lot in that department, then a remap helped even more, then a 270 cylinder works kit even more, and a pro-x velocity stack even more....... I had an 09 crf450 and put an FMF system on it so I could stick an insert in the end, not so I could gain more.

It's not a theory. It's a fact. Dyno's operated by factory race teams dont lie.

You are correct, local racers who buy aftermarket exhausts are completely wasting their money.

How do FMF and PC stay in business? They market the hell out of their product and bank on the fact that the majority of the consumers in this industry are older men who are still stuck in the 2 stroke era. 4 strokes dont respond to aftermarket exhausts the same way as the 2 strokes did, but most cant wrap their minds around that fact.

Sponsored racers run a aftermarket system the same reason they wear neck braces....its because they are paid too!

Im just trying to give you some honest advise. If you dont think I know what Im talking about then why in the world would you come to a internet forum for advise? All of us are going to sound wrong in your eyes unless we give you the answer youre subconciously seeking.

So, if I read your other posts correctly, you got a hookup, and youre going to get a sweet deal on possibly either brands exhaust? Go with the FMF. You have a higher chance of it maybe fitting properly. Or go with the one you think looks the coolest, because thats about all youre going to get. And in many cases, you may even be adding weight to your bike.

Just dont expect any performance gains. As I said earlier, only the Akropovic will add a hp or two to a fully modified motor.

And if you really want some performance for your buck............go with the ECU. Imagine that, you will get some real gains, it may even be cheaper than whatever deal on the exhaust youre getting, there isnt a chance of destroying your investment the next time you wad it up, and you can have fun with the tuning software.

Thanks for the tips, the bike will be mapped, I am aware that sponsored riders use the stuff because of money! But i will bet the aftermarket pipe companies make more money on 4 stroke pipes than 2 stroke pipes.
