How much do they tame the track down for this? Anybody went the previous years?

Drastically tamed down. Nothing more then you would find at your local mx track except a little more of a supercross feel to it.

The only thing that was really even close to the same last year were the whoops. And those got tamed down quite a bit

I wanna say we did like 8 laps last year. Probably not doing it again. Cost is ridiculous

One of the main reasons they are going to a two-day format is to provide more track time in the qualifiers and races. The track may be tamed down to provide one suitable for all classes, but it remains a challenge for all skill levels.....and it's DAYTONA!

Oh and the cost of a hotel room during bike week!!

Again we can race the entire Winter Am Series for what it costs this one weekend.

I'd rather ride a mellowed out Daytona once, than ride Dade city for a lifetime. That's just me. I'm sure the winter series is a lot more than just Dade though.

It's a cool event to do once. After the first time not worth the costs. Had a lot of fun doing it. But the track is way too lame and the costs are outrageous.

Its more about the experience of racing at Daytona Speedway the day after the SX. Its expensive because of the location, its not cheap to use their facility.

"Experience" of racing a well watered down track, prices are up from last year and the additional day adds to the cost.

Can't justify that for saying my kid raced at Daytona, a huge maybe in about 5 years might mean a little more.
