I plan on riding:
Elsinore
Starwest
Perris
Pala
Piru
Not sure whats happenin with Gorman these days but always liked that place (any local news?)

If it rains avoid Perris and Starwest for a couple days, but do go to The Ranch (open weekends only?).
Cahuilla has been real good lately, too. Especially if you like to jump!

I will be back in So Cal on the 5th and going to hit some tracks up, still looking to buy a Van or truck to boost around in though, anyone got any ideas where to rent one for a decent price or buy one?

The new Elsinore main track is awesome and nothing beats the dirt at Perris!
I live just minutes away from both tracks and would reccomend that you add these two tracks in your ride rotation.

Me and two other buddies are heading down from WA. going to hit Gorman, milestone, Glen Helen possible for an REM race, Elsinore, Racetown 395, Perris and Pala. How are the roads looking Dirtysmile? havent decided if we want to take the 5 all the way down or cut down on 97 since were heading from eastern washington.

Drew, Hwy 97 is dry as a bone right now and it's not looking like there is any substantial snow in the forecast. It's definitely a lot quicker than heading down I5 for us dry siders. When are you guys heading gown?

Elsinore is top on my list Smile The last time I rode there Dec 2006 I spent 15 days in Riverside Med center. I am expecting a different outcome this ride, especially since the Master Marc Peters fixed the place up a tad Smile

How is Perris these days?

Sounds like a good trip, REM is fun racing, and you can ride the big track after you race, for the rest of the day !

Remember that Milestone has a membership, but i think in Transworld there is an flyer in the back that will cover this, and LOCK YOUR SHIT !

Also i think Pala also has membership, Cool thing about Racetown and Comp edge is they are 20 bucks and you can CAMP For FREE at RACETOWN And COMP is 15 MINUTES Away...... GREAT STAFF at BOTH DR. ARM PUMP ! FUN GUY.

45 BUCKS at Elsinore, just paid it and won't be going back for a while.

Hit Cahuilla Creek F'nn Awesome right NOW !

Also best kept secret in So Cal ........ Cal City MX. If you could hit this on a sat or sun on your way down you won't regret it, The crowd is ultra light, ohh and they are the most personable owners in the Business hands down ! Free camping at Cal City, and, you can ride all the way to the HUSKY Monument or Randsburg from there. My Sig pic is Cal city

I think we should try to pick a day maybe the Friday before A-1 and get as many M drivers together at a track to actually ride Smile Then bench race, BBQ , drink beer and talk about riding experiences that happened that day(not twenty years ago Smile ) I'm guessing the closest track to the Stadium is Elsinore. If any guys flying in need a place to stay that night I've got two extra Queen bunks in the hauler that are not claimed yet. If anyone is interested let me know patricktrow@gmail.com

So Elsinore isn't worth going for 45? Thanks for the heads up we will be trying to keep costs down. more riding for the money. Too many tracks to hit in just a week. Do Pala memberships go a full year or run out at the new year? I bought one last spring so should be good there and Perris. The tracks usually have out of state deals for people on tips you just have to show ID.

DS56, we are departing thursday evening the 29th and will be leaving socal after the SX the 7th. I like the idea of of a BBQ and brewskis, at the track. We will be bouncing around down there staying with different friends, but we should hook up and moto.

Hallzilla, Never hit CalCity... what town is that near? we might be able to hit it on the way up or down. We should be getting down there friday morningish and want to ride somewhere a little further north....was thinking Piru, Gorman or CalCity? something not to far off I-5 and that will be in decent shape.

Cal city is very close to Mojave....If you were coming down from Mammoth mountain (Eastern Sierra's) hwy 395 to the 14.... there is a cal city blvd off ramp

http://calcitymxpark.com

I'm not sure about prep on fridays, But the owners are so cool, that if you make contact with him, I'm sure he'll take care of you.

Piru is open on weds (I heard they have made improvements lately)

If you bring friends who don't ride it will cost them ten bucks to get into Elsinore to watch you ride.

Judging from word of mouth, Elsinore is losing its mojo pretty quickly.

Guessing Elsinore is not turning out like I think they hoped. Don't think they are charging memberships till after the first of the year. The two times I've been there they were not charging for memberships, I had to leave my drivers license at the front gate instead of paying the ten bucks. Elsinore looks like no other SoCal track, it's majestic looking, but it's still Elsinore.

They are getting trashed by some of the local guys, here are a few reasons...

The website said if you registered before they opened, your membership was free.... Turns out its not....Something about the website builder and teh management not being on the same page..Whatever the reason is, it looks bad.

Nobody could get a straight answer from them on spectators. It was supposed to be ten bucks for opening weekend, they were supposed to have a vendor row, bands, freestyle shows. Turns out it's ten bucks everyday for spectators..

Website said it was going to be 55 bucks a month for unlimited riding, after a week they raised it to 75.

My little complaint is they don't allow anyone on the track. I took my camera looking to get some cool shots of the new track. Turns out you can't get access to the track if your not "industry." Really funny part is I have been allowed on the KTM, Kawasaki and Yamaha tracks in the past, but can't get on Elsinore.lol

I get that they are new and there will be some kinks to work out. Just seems they should of had a better plan from the get go. The problems are basic things that should of been thought out prior to opening. I wont get into the dirt there, maybe they have it worked out now?

Good looking out.
I was thinking that after seeing all the press rx and tnswld have been giving it lately.
Be kinda cool to ride and see some guys do a final shakedown before the race sat.
