He mentions a couple times that he asked JGR to try something, and if they did he would sign with them or something along those lines, and we would all see at A1. I wonder if the "something" is slimming the shroud area? They definitely are wide, and a guy with bike control like Stewart needs to have his bike perfectly suited to him to perform to his potential.

Total outsider opinion with no facts, just thoughts I have. Maybe DV could shed some light if a company like Yamaha wouldn;t even allow something like that?

Euro rider last seaside rode qualifying on a 450 frame with a two stroke motor. So that would mean modded motor mounts. Hence he wouldn't be able to even ride qualifying. its not like they redid the frame geo or anything. They wouldn't move the motor much anyways to where they would need to.

What's crazy to me is how Stewart hits a skinny rut up the face of a huge jump. The only thing about a private track is you have to cut your own lines. But he is extremely precise with where he puts his wheels.

I could see getting a 2 stroke into a 4 stroke frame, as long as you lined up the swingarm pivot in the same location, then modded the other mounts. But, to move a motor foward, how would you modify the swingarm pivot?

Not to be overly simplistic but if your pockets are deep enough you can do anything.
