Did you know the government / President started Halloween?

Heard it on a NPR discussion yesterday.....during the depression there was a lot of vandalism so the President issued a executive order asking the children to go door to door and ask for treats instead if performing vandalism.

I think Play-Doh is a great idea.

I'm pretty sure the kids in my neighborhood would go for it.

Halloween's not a big thing down under, yet. Many Australians think it's an American "thing", and although America has commercialise the crap out of Halloween (you guys are good at marketing stuff) it's origins are European, where it is still celebrated.

We had 3 witches, two ghosts, a Count Dracula and a Father Time ring our doorbell last night. This turnout was noticeably down from last year by about 6 ghouls. GFC I guess?

Almost wish i didnt open the bag this afternoon, one of those medium sized bags and been snacking on em all day while working and just realized over 3/4 of the bag is gone. Sick

it is the little bit of salt on the pretzel in them, like Lays potato chips say, "you cant eat just one!"

We went riding and camping a couple of days last week. A friend of mine brought cake donuts they were called. Unbelieveable.

My six year old would love it. Probably a little "too young" for my ten year old, but I'd guess that's why Lumpy bought candy too.

Its not sugar coated. Anything coated with a parents nightmare is attractive to an ADD bound child Silly

My kids would def. go for the play doh. Ones 2 and the other is 3. They love that shit. Kinda reminds me of the movie Knocked up when the one guys says "I wish i loved anything as much as my kids love bubbles". And its true. Being an adult, its so easy to just go through life and accept everything almost without acknowledging anything around us. But not kids. They always show me the true beauty of life. Damn this was almost a queer post..... but it happened anyway.

I can see the Play-Doh being popular.

Most popular candy in the bowl last night at my place........gummy eyeballs.....followed by skull lollipops.
They love the weird stuff.

That was up against Tootsie Pops, Mini-Almond Joy...kit kat....snickers, and the medium size Tootsie Rolls too.
I get mobbed every year, out of candy by 8:00pm.
