I've never seen a 4th place guy get so much attention. Wonder what it could be.
It could be wrong that you're pegging him as a fourth-place guy.

Yep, crashes killed James' chances at the title with a couple rounds to go, but despite all of them (and all the other nonsense that surrounded his 2011 season), he still had a shot at it.
No one has a perfect crystal ball for 2012, but calling him a fourth-place guy is just fishing with stink-bait.
I didn't expect so much focus on NASCAR with this deal. James is his own man, and I understand the whole thing. But it seems like he's got one eye on the moto track and the other on the oval. Has that ever worked before? JS7 is an incredible racer, but man, he's got more distractions than Jason Lawrence at a Motley Crue concert.
This sport takes such a singular focus and the talent levels are so close. If he's not 100% focused on moto, how does he win?

The fact is he finished 4th and we are seeing more threads about him than RD and RV combined. It's getting a little old. That's all i'm going to say because I know how you protect him on here. It's your site so, do your thing.

How much focus on nascar has he had as apposed to SX/MX?

I don't really know his personal focus, not being around him. But the promotional side of things has been a solid 50/50 NASCAR/Supercross.
I've been watching James since he was on 60s, like most people, and it seems in recent years he is just all over the place. I can't really blame him- since he's been on dirt bikes so long. He doesn't seem to take winning at SX so seriously as he once did. This is all from the sidelines, but I don't really care about NASCAR.
When they sign a big football player, do they say "Hey, he's also gonna be a baseball champ in a few years!"

What would you like to know about RV right now? How his honeymoon went? Or for Dungey, what would you like to know? That he's back in Florida and working on getting ready for '12? Until we get the Vital MX satellite positioned over his practice track, there's not much to pass along there, either. Sheesh.

So you admit you have no idea.
Do you have any idea what R.V, CR, or any of the other riders are doing?
Football, Basketball, and other players are seen trying out for soccer teams, etc. etc. AKA Ochochinco (Sp) and others all the time in the offseason.

Can you get us Speed HD and Fuel HD on that satellite for us Direct TV subscribers?......
Glad to see people trying different things other than moto. When you get done racing you need something to take care of that rush. The feeling never goes away. It is cool to see him smiling and being happy doing what he wants. Isn't that what we all want in life? To do whatever we want? Don't knock the guy for having some fun and trying things. Good luck in 2012 James.

That's not how they calculate the championship finishing places though is it. He started and finished the series, finishing fourth so I'd say calling him a fourth-place guy is pretty accurate.
Good pics here though, looks like fun. Hope he's leaving enough time to set up the bike and get into race shape after his time off.
Ha! I just signed up a DirecTV account for the trailer a week or so ago. I'm in the same boat.
Fox Networks and DIRECTV have reached an agreement for DIRECTV to continue carrying all Fox Networks (including FX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, SPEED, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Deportes), Fox's regional sports networks, Fox Broadcasting (FOX), the FOX local stations, Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. We both know the past ten days have been challenging, but we're pleased that both sides could eventually come together to ensure our viewers continue to enjoy Fox programming.

They have said multiple times he is just testing in a late model car to see how he likes it.
I doubt they will let it get in the way of getting ready for A1.
News tonight is they settled and us DirecTV customers won't lose out on anything
The man is free to do what he wants, including getting distracted by all the little spiffs and bonuses that come with being on JGR. It's quite clear from this last season that if he doesn't pull his head out of the clouds and get his feet back down on the ground, it will not end well for him.
For a guy who has spent his entire young life honing his skills at MX/SX, I personally feel it is a shame for him to even be thinking about NASCAR right now. That's like a fighter being pilot being distracted by flying gliders as his "next thing" while the next war is coming up on him fast.
That is a Late Model stock car there is a huge difference body,motor,shocks,chassis... K & N series cars are old cup cars yes they are but that isnt a K & N car you can tell by the body...the K & N car has either the steel body witch this car he's driving has fiberglass or they use a composite body anyways you can see differences if you know what to look for!!!

Not good, in my opinion.
