i have to say that my favorite bikes to gawk at in the pits at a supercross have always been the KTM's... gorgeous display of colors and parts

Funny...

The 2 most "Different" brands come with some of the best parts.

Case in point: Just like the "Works" bikes, stock KTMs come with Galfer brakes & Yamahas come with Braking. Hell, both brands come with Excellent hardware...

But, BOTH brands are a bit trickier and "Different" than the others when it comes to set-up and sorting-out.

Any bets on how SOON the '13 450SX is avail.?

So true ..... Having ridden aluminum for the last 12 years and going back to steel I 100% agree with you the ride quality is worlds better

Love the orange frame. Wish they'd do that on the production bikes.

Did you think Brembo and write Galfer? That's a Brembo logo on the caliper.

I might buy a ktm in 2014 if they keep it up. I like what they're doing. There's not one thing on the bike I can point out that I don't like.

That's a Galfer logo on the rotor!

I believe you can get those very same parts (Caliper, too) thru the SXS line).

I'll have to take your word for it because I don't see a logo on the rotor.
But I know that thing that looks like a G on the rear caliper is definitely the Brembo logo:

But I know that thing that looks like a G on the rear caliper is definitely the Brembo logo:
If you take a look, a little closer, you'll see a lower case "b" inside the circle, of what looks like a "G"

japan only went to aluminum frames because they are cheaper and more efficient to produce that tubular steel. it was not a performance measure. i dont know why everyone always assumes aluminum is "better" than steel.

You guys made me go to the garage to check out my bike (07 300 XC-W)
Brembo caliper, Galfer rotor. You have to know though, because even now that I know where to look I can barely make the Galfer logo in the picture.
