Remember seeing him bounce like a ball off the face of that table in some on-off-on-off-on section during one of the SX races earlier this year? How did he NOT shatter every rib and bone in his body? Wasn't he back racing like the very next weekend (and doing well, I might add)?

I broke four ribs on 8/20/2011 and am hoping to be back on a bike before 8/20/2013. :D

It came up to ME because I just broke my entire body into a million pieces and I wasn't jumping a quintuplet at 80mph. How was he walking after that?

Is it the Rockstar? Is it the Makita? Or was it from the superior protective properties of the invisible chest protector he was wearing?

Dudes in shape. Just looking at him he's rugged. You wouldn't think being in shape would help avoid injuries, but as your body is better managed it becomes more able to handle impacts and be stronger in preventing injury, and Metcalfe is in one of the best physical shapes compared to the rest of the pro ranks.

What are you trying to say? That I'm NOT in shape? Round is a shape too dude!!!! Tongue

Honestly, I am positive that you're 100% right. BM looks to have a little Navy SEAL in him. lol. Me? I have a little more Navy Chief in me than Navy SEAL. LMAO!

The guys that really blow my mind in this respect are RC and Stewart. RC is made of rubber over a steel cage apparently (or he was). The guy would just bounce off the ground and landson his feet and run to the bike everytime it seems like.

And the impacts James has taken are just nasty.

But yeah, the more muscle you have, I believe the better you withstand injury.

Not a riding boot, but a banana peel on the way to the fridge. Slipped and fell onto the ice chest full of beer. Smile
